messi already has won the champions league 3 times and has consistantly played well against europes elite.

Messi has scored 216 goals in 301 games and he's 24, there's every chance he may beat Pele's record if he stays with Barca his whole career, you have to remember that Pele played in America aswell.
I do think however that Maradona is the best ever, Messi has players like Iniesta, Xavi and Villa next to him, Maradona carried that Argentina team, and boy did he carry them.

Thats the kind of statement that would make Pele proud.
A player with the natural talent that Pele had would dominate world football today.
The argument that he wasn't all that because he never played in Europe is a completely false one. Back when he was playing South American club teams were just as good as the top European teams and there was no real need for players from that continent to come over to Europe.

Fat Ronaldo (in his prime) over anybody, ever.
An absolute beast with both feet and in the air. Strong as an Ox and didn't half shift.
Loved watching him play when he was with Barca & Inter - just a real shame that injuries ruined his career.
Would have been brilliant seeing him in the premiership. He'd have ripped all English defences a new arsehole week after week.
