Saw a clip of mourinho on tv today holding on to the PL trophy at chav central and virtually telling terry to F off when he tried to put a hand on it .
His body language spoke volumes about who he thought was the most important person involved , but then we already knew about the monumental ego of the "specious one"- and it will hopefully lead to another monumental clash with his boss.
I thought this thread was supposed to be about Pellegrini?

It is about Pellegrini but someone made a reference back on p99 to a disparaging remark made by mourinho about our new boss

I wouldn't take too much heed of anything Mourinho says, to be honest, although he is entertaining (at least compared to Allardyce, Pulis, Pardew etc etc). He is the ultimate soundbite manager, saying things to court publicity.

That's what I'm hoping for Jim, that the baggage he brings and his big yap will be his downfall - there won't be many tears shed outside w London

Hate to say it Bb, but I think they'll end up winning the PL next season if (when?) he comes back to them. Especially if they sign a holding midfielder in the Makalele/Essien mould and a decent forward (or two) to replace Torres and Ba (who hasn't pulled up any trees since he left Newcastle).

Re: Pellegrini is the new manager (Malaga Newspaper reports) 2.

You're probably right about next season's title but the appointment of mourinho - basically a knee jerk reaction by abramovich to fan hostility to Benitez-is so short term in comparison to what we're doing.
Anyway - that's enough about him - I'm off to bed - night all

No bugger seems to have a bad word to say about him. I'm really looking forward to his first press conference.

Don't worry I'm sure Custis and his mates at the Sun will get stuck into him - especially after the bit in this weeks Private Eye taking the piss out of the Sun's reporting of City over recent months.

Tell me more!

You wouldn't by chance have a link to the Private Eye article, cheers
