I'm sure he'll be coming to city.

However. ...

...if he does turn us down we simply must sack the Spanish duo. To sack the premier league's best manager (after Ferguson resigned) without making 100% certain of a replacement is surely cause for summary dismissal.

The only thing to do then would be to crawl back to Bobby on bended knee, offer to double his salary, and beg him to come back.

I think it's time for bed mate.:)

lol, thats you told.

I must admit I am enjoying all the flapping on several recent player/manager threads...very entertaining, not least because i think a couple of them are started by non city fans.

Personally I think the pellegrini contract was sorted long ago.

Did I miss it or Manchester City still haven't announced Pellegrini officially? (not that this would cast any doubt he will be, don't worry

I know its been mentioned earlier but Khaldoon already told us that everything would be in place in two weeks.

Doesn't make sense. Financial terms would surely all have been sorted if we've really been talking to his agent for 3-4 months

Just about to post that

Until he's signed on the dotted line he's surely able to move the goalposts as much as he wants, irrespective of what might have been 'agreed'

You gripping your worry beads tightly?

Thanks Peter. I suppose with the options becoming more and more limited for PSG maybe they've given him a ridiculous offer. Which he's now trying to leverage.

Regarding Klopp/Dortmund ... i know there's definite interest from Txiki/City but it's hard to see him leaving where he's at unless something happens behind the scenes and he thinks he won't get money to build on what he's already built.

It sounds plausible that PSG may have thrown an offer his way, though I thought the rumour was that they still hope to take Wenger in a year's time and will look for someone to mind the shop until then. As we discussed before, Klopp would have been great but he seems completely committed to Dortmund for the time.

I just tend to think that if there was a real danger of Pellegrini not coming here, it would be starting to break much more widely than this single tweet. We'll see by Monday, I guess.

Who's the poster what's the rumour mate? Not heard anything myself ...

salfordpaul tweeted around 12 hours ago: "Heard a bombshell tonight: Pellegrini yesterday came up with outrageous wage demands, City also looked at Klopp. Hope it is all sorted".

Not too worried myself, but if there really are problems then no doubt we'll find out soon.

I thought salfordpaul knew someone that worked at the hospital where city did their medicals?
or is that someone else?

that's why posters call him itk,

if it is the same guy, how can he have heard about Pellegrini?

That is salfordpaul; although I thought he actually worked at the hospital but I could be wrong on that.

Not aware of him proving himself ITK in any other regard and still no nearer knowing if Pep is nailed on for two years time.

I did think MP was on a very big salary at Malaga so he may not want a pay cut.
