We would all love that there were more English players (or even British) but sadly we will have to wait until the new academies (not just ours) start churning them out

Anyway is he still our next manager? No more earth shattering tweets tonight then?

Another provocative headline by the Mail that will incite loads of anger.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2338111/Manchester-City-wont-play-Englishman-Manuel-Pellegrini.html?ito=feeds-newsxml" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... ds-newsxml</a>

But fairly true though. There is a lack of top class English players and all players linked seem to be foreign. But it will be interesting to see what Pellis and Txikis plan is if the Cavani thing is true.

We need to move to the next level now and if that means disposing of good/very good English players for top notch European ones then so be it.
I don`t agree with the Mail in its entirity, but they have a point, that Lescott and possibly Barry, may be on their way out,I would suggest that Sinclair is also on that list, but Rodwell, for fucks sake ??
OK if we bring in Isco and another dream player, then it would be very difficult for Milner to play a substantial amount for PL and CL games this coming new season.
However we still need grafters in the team.
Some shit by the Fail, but some good points if you take off your Blue Tinted Specs for a second.

I fully agree. It's not Pellegrini's or Txiki's fault. Hart will probably be the only regular. Micah and Rodwell i can see play a decent amount with some rotation. Probably Barry as well if he stays...but i'm not sure about Milner unfortunately. Dunno how he will fit in with Pellegrini's plans...that remains to be seen.

The PSG job is available and Rafa has already moved on to Napoli, bad timing for them.

Expect them to make an approach for AVB now, maybe the Porto manager who's out of contract?

Could be Karanka, Mourinho´s puppet
