Is Navas in the Spanish squad, i presumed he was and if we were to sign Isco also is he not in the squad. The final is the 30th so that would surely end any press conference with new manager and the new players

Navas with the full squad Isco with U21 squad in Israel for tournament

It's just my opinion but I hope we're really not delaying the announcement just to be able to announce the new manager with a whole host of players around him. Just look's a bit stage managed and pretentious to me and I'd rather hope we would just announce it wether or not it's at the same time as Mourinho, new signings or whatever.

It's just a question of getting it done asap and the announcement follows.

Agree. Don't care what Chelsea are up to.

Hopefully and yet as much as we've all publicly known for a month he's coming we've still not got it rubber stamped and if we've all known for a month then presumably our board have known for a hell of a lot longer so why still the delay? At the same time I don't think it's that important yet as I doubt he'd be doing anything beneficial right now. Would just like to see it official I suppose.

I agree but would say we definitely won't be delaying an announcement over that. He will be announced when the club are ready to do the press conference and he is ready to start work properly. It's not important when it is. He will get a press conference and a day of back page headlines whenever it happens, and regardless of who is sitting alongside him. And I can't believe for a second the club will even want players alongside him at that point. What does that achieve? A lot of people seem to be overemphasising the importance of the media coverage of this. We don't need to be 'making statements' or maximising our exposure in any way. The genie is long out the bottle on that one.

Relax. He's coming. The players are all on holiday, signings are being closed so there is no rush whatsoever. He's probably house hunting, getting his family organised etc.
