Khaldoon said the manager will be announced it the next two weeks....two weeks passed yesterday
Agreed - I find all this talk of 'making a statement' and the need to make a splash in the media / for PR purposes baffling. I can't believe that's what's holding up an announcement. Anyway, leave that sort of vulgarity to the rampant egotist and media whore recently re-installedon the King's Road. We and Manuel have got far more class ;-)Didsbury Dave said:I agree but would say we definitely won't be delaying an announcement over that. He will be announced when the club are ready to do the press conference and he is ready to start work properly. It's not important when it is. He will get a press conference and a day of back page headlines whenever it happens, and regardless of who is sitting alongside him. And I can't believe for a second the club will even want players alongside him at that point. What does that achieve? A lot of people seem to be overemphasising the importance of the media coverage of this. We don't need to be 'making statements' or maximising our exposure in any way. The genie is long out the bottle on that one.Blue2112 said:It's just my opinion but I hope we're really not delaying the announcement just to be able to announce the new manager with a whole host of players around him. Just look's a bit stage managed and pretentious to me and I'd rather hope we would just announce it wether or not it's at the same time as Mourinho, new signings or whatever.
Relax. He's coming. The players are all on holiday, signings are being closed so there is no rush whatsoever. He's probably house hunting, getting his family organised etc.
