It this doing anyone else's nut in??? Why not just confirm it officially,I'm not asking for a big fancy presser in fact I would love a statement on the o.s and it left at that.....I'm on this forum every 10mins now checking

i'd only be worried if he's not installed before the players come back for pre season, it will happen this week the powers that be are quietly going about their business acquiring players and getting the management in place, let the chelsea fill sky sports news.

Stuart Brennan on twitter posted that there is a technical issue with his contract, said City were relaxed about it and should be concluded soon.

Just lawyers being lawyers apparently

Shame it's dragged on so long, most Blues I know are now completely indifferent to Pellegrini's appointment and view it as a done deal anyway. There is likely to be a really apathetic reaction now to his joining which no doubt Sly sports will somehow try and twist into him being an unpopular choice.

Manchester City fans are probably wondering where on earth Manuel Pellegrini has got himself off to, there's been all kinds of rumours doing the rounds but according to press in Chile it's all sorted. The club and new manager have been talking about transfer targets for days, and that has been seen more important than announcing him as the new manager and dealing with the added attention that would bring.

There are claims in Chile (Soy Chile) and Spain that Pellegrini wanted countryman Alexis Sanchez and Manchester City were working on this deal behind the scenes but the Barcelona player has decided to stay at the Spanish club and fight for his future, at least for one more season to see if he can show his best form there, something he hasn't consistently done yet. That's a shame, the Premier League would appear to suit Sanchez given his performances for Chile.

Pellegrini has signed a three year deal, a year longer than originally reported, according to 24 Horas in Chile, this could also be why the announcement has taken a little longer. However, sorting out a few transfers before wheeling the new manager out sounds like a wise move from Manchester City. It puts him under less pressure and brings less attention to the club and their transfer dealings.

Txiki Begiristain clearly isn't worried, he was strolling around in the Manchester city centre sunshine yesterday evening with family, rather than chasing across the world to iron out last minute Pellegrini problems.
24 Horas say there will be a press conference on either Wednesday or Thursday to announce the new Manchester City manager.

There's every possibility Manchester City will use the same event to announce a further signing, with Jesus Navas yet to be completed and the club linked to further players on a daily basis. It's all a very calm approach from the Manchester side and provides a total contrast to last minute business done through the media when they first found their pot of gold.

I want him on his own and when he is asked about transfers for him to pull out a piece of paper and wave it Atlee style in front of the press indicating that the players on here have already signed. :-)

Rammy you remember Atlee!..................... Navas you're older than me!

Keep reading the press conference will be either Wednesday or Thursday surely if it was tomorrow the announcement would be made today?

You're as big a cynic as me. Give it a month before we get all that.
