Another provocative headline by the Mail that will incite loads of anger.

But fairly true though. There is a lack of top class English players and all players linked seem to be foreign. But it will be interesting to see what Pellis and Txikis plan is if the Cavani thing is true.

It won't incite any from me, couldn't care less what the mail write, and I'm not overly fussed about "english" players. If they're good enough they'll play.

I'd love to know how much joe bernstein (whoever the fuck he is) knows about Pellegrini's plans, and I'd bet its about as little as me.

This , Cleavers...

What a pathetic attempt to put the most negative spin on an appointment that most City fans, having got over RM's departure, are looking forward to

they really are desperate .. sad fookers

Can't wait to have the last laugh back at these tw@ts

If you are a knee-jerk drama queen perhaps.

For everyone else - more meh from the mail, nothing more.

I can't do the linky transcript thing , but if some fellow blue could oblige , then e could avoid giving those tossers at the Fail traffic / click credits..

People should be fucking banned for simply posting links.

We need to move to the next level now and if that means disposing of good/very good English players for top notch European ones then so be it.
I don`t agree with the Mail in its entirity, but they have a point, that Lescott and possibly Barry, may be on their way out,I would suggest that Sinclair is also on that list, but Rodwell, for fucks sake ??
OK if we bring in Isco and another dream player, then it would be very difficult for Milner to play a substantial amount for PL and CL games this coming new season.
However we still need grafters in the team.
Some shit by the Fail, but some good points if you take off your Blue Tinted Specs for a second.

English players to lose out in Pellegrini reign as City to usher in 'La Liga era'

We can only hope.

Of course, like Khaldoon said, the new academy is targeted to bear fruit in 20 years rather than immediately.

If you expect the academy to be taking on 8 year olds now. It's going to be at least 10 years before you see them "ready".

This idea that a lack of game time has hindered progress is untrue. It's a lack of coaching the right technique.

For example, James Milner could not have had greater exposure, debut aged 16, playing 18 league games that season and 30 the season after.

Yet, for all his hard running, Milner is a very limited player who lacks the technical ability of the top world/European players. No greater amount of "first team opportunities" could have improved that.
