Pellegrini opens up about City

By that logic that goes for any title win by any team in any league... "they only won because the rest of the teams screwed it up at game a) and b) or that team x had a bad year" it's straight out of a Dipper shitrag paper that kind of talk... in fact isn't that where the argument came from? "It was our year youz only won it because we threw it away la"

I don't read Dipper shitrag papers so I wouldn't know!

I was originally thinking that I would like to see a season where we dominated pretty much from start to finish and it was clear to any RagDipperArse that we were the best in the league beyond even scarlet doubters. No hiccups, no stumbles, no tottering in the run in. Clearly the best. The season MANUre screwed an eight point lead they only had to nick another point to have won the title for themselves and few would have said that that season MCFC were the best in the league having come second to a Rag team by one point.

Our performances against title contenders would also indicate who was 'best'!

Yes we haven't had a season where we ran away with it but I think there will still be excuses when that happens too, like this season with Leicester, all the big teams played shit is what some will say(to be fair they should have done better). When we've won the title both times we've had strong challengers pushing us all the way and we still beat them.

I will argue though we beat the Rags 6-1 in their own ground when we pipped them did we not? Liverpool were very lucky to win at Anfield the year we pipped them, I remember Silva and Milner turning up the heat controlling the game towards the end to the point where the Kop was dead silent(they were shitting it) if anyone deserved a goal on the balance of play it was us... as it turned out the ball goes up the other end Kompany's skewed clearance lands at Courtinho's feet and he blasts it in from 30 yards, very unlucky we were that day not that the dippers would admit that... so slightly unlucky on the head to head not to be at least equal and as for the other stats we outscored them, conceded less and won more games... look at our points tally too it was nothing to sniff at(only one win/3points away from the MANUre season you mentioned) we did very well that season and we were simply better than them.

Love him or not he is the 2nd most successful manager in the clubs history based on trophies won under his reign. and arguably he brought to this club the most exciting football we have ever seen. Ive been watching City since 1968 so I think Im qualified to make such a statement.

We were definitely better, but where, linguistically does better transform into best?
