I think we'll find that the orders have already gone out in brown paper envelopes from OT telling the hacks what approach to take to Pellegrini. "Worst kept secret in football" at the Etihad v "seemless transition at OT", "Buying foreigners" v "developing young British talent". "Malaga are banned from European competition, Mr P. City are going to fail FFPR too, aren't thet." That kind of thing, I suspect.

A much easier ride for Jose...

And...

"How many games have you been given to keep your job?"

How could I forget that one! Is it true Mr Pellegrini that City have win all their pre-season games or else....?
He might have got a bit of that if the perception was that city are trigger happy and unfair. But I don't think that most people in the game and the press feel that way. There might be a question about his lack of trophies, but I bet moyles gets that too.

It was very understated I thought this afternoon from "The Happy One". Only the one ridiculous statement when he mentioned Brenda's Liverpool as a potential rival.

Did he really say that ?? He must mean a rival for the league cup as the dippers will play every round full strength... ;)

Here Moron-ho starts with his mind games... Mentioning Liverpool as his strongest title challenge is a complete joke.

Correct, lets hope we all just laugh off the crap that will come spilling out of the deluded one. Just keep calm and keep winning, will destroy him from the inside out.

If we had any sense it would just be announced on MCFC, followed by an in-house interview published on CityTV.

We don't have any contractual obligations to have a presser for a new Manager.

I don't know why we have a presser. But were we not to have one, it would be regarded as a highly negative thing, be writ large in the next day's RagTops. It's gonna be a no-win with the gutter hacks. The only way they would get on board is if we played scintillating attacking football at one end and demonstrated defensive solidity at the other which would have the ordinary football fan in raptures, and rendered the hack pack as a winging bunge of dog-in-the-manger hyenas! Oh, and provide them with outstanding PL hospitality!!

Of course they will be treated somewhat differently. The English press simply know Mourinho better it would only be human nature to ask some different questions. Mourinho as far as English Football is concerned (and generally anywhere else) has answered every single question simply by winning consistently.

I'm sure they will be fine with Pellegrini goodness knows the pressure he would have been under at Real Madrid with the press there. If you want to see truly biased press look at the reputation of newspapers like Marca (if that's what its called)

Its not like the man has a reputation for being undiplomatic. Moyes will be the one under most pressure this season initially (mainly from his clubs fans the second he loses a game plus the FACT he's got more question marks over him than Pellegrini does) and Mourinho will simply because of who his employers are. Pellegrini should be alright early on barring a nightmare start or a CL disaster.

Mourinho would be shocked when he realises the enormity of the challenge at hand. There was no threat from 'manchester' in his first tenure here.

After failing in his first two attempt he would probably do what he does best "run to another league".

Will be interesting to see how they differ.(this week?)

They way the (London based) Journalists treat both Managers. What questions they ask them. And the general mood towards both Managers.

No doubt the Journalist will be falling over themselves when it comes to Mourinho. They love him, especially the London based Journalists. I'm 100% sure the questions will be loaded in Mourinho's favour. I expect nothing but positive headlines in the coming days.

Moving on to Pellegrini.

Once again I'm 100% sure Pellegrini can handle the *Wolf Pack*. However, I'd like our PR Department(here we go again :-) ) to give him plenty of protection. Make it clear from the off, what and what isn't allowed.

I want this press conference to be positive and not to dwell on Mancini, etc. I want it to focus on Pellegrini, his vision for the club, the players, and where he wants to take us. What his priorities and ultimate goals are. I don't won't the press conference to get bogged down in trench warfare.(Mancini's first press conference)

Welcome Mr Pellegrini. :-)
And whatever the outcome, nobody will be arsed (well, many will be but they shouldn't be!) and City will not be affected in any way at all; we'll go about our business like we would if the opposite happened.

God almighty, a section of our fans are totally fucking obsessed by the media and the way they report city. Both managers will give press conferences, both will be asked peachy questions by the locals and be supposedly 'challenged' by the nationals looking for an angle. That's how it works.

Mourinho will be asked how he's going to handle roman, terry etc, and whether coming back was a good idea.

Pellegrini will be asked if Mamcini's sacking puts pressure on him, whether he can work with an expectant d of f, etc.

Both will get loads of questions about targets, signings etc. Both will bat them back, and the press might get the odd nugget.

Big deal.
All of this is pretty accurate.

All in stark contrast to Moyes' coronation on July 1st and the effete way the press will handle that, no doubt. Surely if any of the big appointments have serious question marks attached to them, especially in light of who he is replacing, then surely that is it.

MANU fan welcomes Moyes first signing...
