One thing that struck me about this presser was his comment about the loyalty of the fans and most especially the part where he referenced the "third division".
It's all too easy to get carried away with what people say when they first join a club. What have they been spoon fed? Do they really mean that?
But wouldn't it be wonderful to think, turning my mind back to some shitty, dilapidated ground, the terrace swelling with discontented blues watching another baffling and abject performance, that our refusal to give up on this club when all seemed utterly lost played a significant role in turning the head of a leading European coach when our luck did, as we all hoped but never expected, eventually turn.
Whatever the answer, it does nothing to change the incredible and unmatched narrative of this unique and wonderful football club.
We are truly blessed.
