We're shit at them as well.Could we ask the ref if we can have a corner instead

Give it Giggsy till the end of the seasonI think we may as well stick to De Bruyne or Gundogan. They're all going to miss some it seems, we might as well keep it simple and go with the ones we think are the least likely to miss.
Chopping and changing them is only going to unsettle them. Even if we land on someone who's a brilliant penalty taker, what happens if he misses one?
They just need to practice a bit more.
Whoever is in goal for all of that session would end up like Scott SterlingPep should take his best takers and give them sessions after training.
10 rounds of 10 pens each. Highest score out of 100 is the taker.
My bet would be Eddie.
Ederson might be good at taking penalties, but he is the goalkeeper. If he is out of his net, we have a problem.
One day, the ball will either hit a post or be saved and then cleared. The opposition will then be able to have a good counter on our goal with a high chance of scoring - not quite as high as a penalty, but not far off. There's also a real chance one of our defenders will have to haul someone down and be booked/sent off.
I don't see why a player who can feel confident taking a free kick 30yards out with a wall and a goalkeeper to beat can't do it 12 yards out with just a goalkeeper to beat. I honestly think half the time we're being too clever with them.
The team either need to practice taking them for an hour a day, every day after training or they need to throw the dice and smash it as hard as they physically can at the net. There are no other options. It should always be a player with good mental strength who tends to play well too - Dias, Walker, Fernandinho, Rodri, Aguero for me. Someone who is not going to bottle it.
I'm starting to feel this Ederson-taking-penalties is something that will start to weigh on players if they miss them as well.
Ederson can take them once the league is won, before that he should concentrate on keeping the ball out of his net.
Another way of thinking if Ederson should take them is: would we want him to take a penalty if we are 0-1 up at the Bernabeu and have just been awarded a penalty in the 90th minute. We wouldn't let him take it for the risk they could counter. We could go from a position where we can win the game 2-0 to one where we draw 1-1 within 20 seconds.
Maybe in a FA Cup tie, if we were 1-0 up against a team of weasels like WBA and we're in the 92nd minute. They've not had much of a chance all game and are going to lose. Would they be tempted to give away a penalty as a "roll of the dice" that it's saved/missed and they then can counter and potentially score?
The only reason Ederson would take a penalty is when the league is won. He should be the last person taking them.
Dock him a week's wages.Chopping and changing them is only going to unsettle them. Even if we land on someone who's a brilliant penalty taker, what happens if he misses one?
Foden or Ederson for me.looking like no Sergio, KDB or Gundogan tonight. You steps up if we get a pen? Rodri wasnt convincing, Sterling and Mahrez woeful and Jesus isnt much better. Maybe Foden or Torres ?
