Who should take penalties if Haaland is not on the pitch?

It's been close at times but Aguero hasn't missed one in league games for over 3 years. Under Pep in the league he is 12 from 13 and a conversion rate of 92.30%. His all time record in league games is 87.09% That's excellent for a player with a long-term record of penalties when the average is about 78%.

87.09% Aguero (27/31)

Better than:
86.36% Kane (19/22)
85.86% Ronaldo (79/92)
85.41% Lampard (41/48)
83.07% Messi (54/65)
82.75% Mario (24/29)
80.43% Shearer (37/46)

Just short of:
88.88% Henry (24/27)
88.88% Lewandowski (24/27)

In the league his record is great. Weirdly in Europe it’s the opposite. Not sure why.

the obvious one to take the pens is ederson. but pep feels it shows no respect to the other team . ffs. scoring the pen and helping to win the game is more important than the feelings of the opposition is it not?

God help us if we get a penalty on Sunday.

I will be hid behind the sofa until its taken.

Why cant Kev just take em, the best dead ball player in the league.

Pep won't do it but if Gundo is on the pitch then he should be taking them. Whatever you think about him, you can't deny that he takes a good pen. Doesn't muck about and strikes it clean, never misses, and scored one in a CL final. If it's, like, Watford or Brighton at home, then Kun can have them. It's the ones away from home that look dodgy for him for whatever reason (his last few pens away from home have been: Chelsea in the Cup shoot out - almost saved, Spurs away - miss, Swansea - hit post and scored on rebound, and West Ham away - missed first time and scored when a retake was given by VAR). As for Gabby, he should just never take them, full stop.

For whatever reason Pep just doesn't seem to consider it an issue and seems to think it's best to give it to the strikers - a few months ago he said something along the lines of 'Aguero will take them as long as he feels confident.' I never feel confident when neither he nor Gabby step up to the spot.

Gabi missed a bad one for Brazil today. Sent the keeper the wrong way but missed the target by some distance. Cost them dearly in the end as they lost 0-1 to Argentina. Messi also hd his penalty saved but scored from the rebound.

Second truly awful penalty in two weeks. I’m at a loss to think what was going through his head. Never, ever take another penalty Gabi!
