Penalty Taker

Who should take penalties if Haaland is not on the pitch?

Aguero has never been a particularly convincing penalty taker but he’s the striker and scored plenty of them in the past. gundogan is also usually very assured at penalties, everybody missed the odd one he’s just unfortunate he’s missed one when we’re on a run of poor penalty misses. I’m fine with either of them taking the next one.

Kdb for whatever reason clearly doesn’t fancy them as he would have had the chance to take them if he wanted.

Jesus sterling and mahrez all have similar issues in that they scuff a lot of their shots on the instep and so none of them should be near one. If we’re going to look at somebody who hasn’t missed yet Bernardo has to be up next, strikes the ball very cleanly and precisely.

Whatever. Aguero can Score the next 5 and miss one and y‘all gonna want a new penalty taker anyway. It‘s been like that since that Mahrez penalty at Anfield.

You want a penalty taker you are confident in when he steps up. As amazing as Aguero is, he isn’t that man. We don’t have that man in our team. It’s madness how we have many world class players/goal scorers who can’t do it.

get yaya back as penalty coach. He was the best. Don’t think he’s ever missed one in his professional career. I stand to be corrected. He must have took nearly 15 for us including pen shoot outs and never missed. Used to love how it was a guarantee every time.

How difficult can it be for a professional footballer to beat a goalkeeper from 12 yards out ? Our recent record, missing 5 of the last 7, is ridiculous. Don’t they practice this in training ? If the recognised scorers can’t do it and KDB and Bernie don’t want to, then let Walker, Mendy or Fernandinho have a go. They can hardly be any worse.

Too much rotation often leading to our preferred penalty taker not being on the pitch, and thus creating added pressure when the next penalty arrives, and that player knows he's expected to score.
