People are saying if we sack hughes once again it will get us nowhere and we start again, ok so at maine road/eastlands we've had a lot of managers come and go, my point is,
can anyone tell me how many of them managers we've sacked have gone on and been successful?
NIL, back in the day we were shit, we could only get shit managers, when keegan left who was we linked with jose? wenger? any of the best around that year, no because were wasn't top flight, we settled for average managers because thats all we could attract,
NOW we are a class team with a brilliant owner and absolutely loaded, 3 years ago if someone said you will have Robinho, Tevez and Adebayor in your team you would of laughed at them, we've come along way and are now longer not classed as a smaller team,
Now we can set our sights on people like Jose, Hiddink and other top class managers because we have a class team in place with a transfer kitty every team in the world could dream of and the owners are doing so much good for this club its unreal,
Hughes is making us a laughing stock once again, when the big money came in hughes was always out of his depth, the 'project' as they like to call it, is far to big for him and he's proven he can't handle the players and get the best out of them,
The last time we actually played a good game of football was against Arsenal in September, before that we've been average all season and the last 7 games have been dire, the second half at Liverpool is the only peice of football i have enjoyed watch city play in the last 2 months, we don't look like were getting any better and hughes tactics don't help and his gameplan is useless, were improving on paper, but not on the pitch and thats where it matters
I've wanted him out since the beginning of this year, if we keep him it's gonna be another wasted year, are we gonna sign BIG players under MH in charge like the owners want? NOT A CHANCE, the owners know this and if they had any sense hughes will be gone ASAP, would you trust hughes to spend another £100-200million of your money in January? .....i'm not so sure
We will never win anything under MH, time for him to go and whoever comes in whether it be Hidink or Jose etc, they will be the best manager we've ever had because we can now finally attract them and offer them something city has never had chance to offer before.
I say simply,
TO BE THE BEST, YOU NEED THE BEST.
