We have distinct teams who won titles and can be recognised for style etc. As more teams are trying play Pep ball I think we are going to see new evolution if anything is to go by Burnley match going direct i am curious what next iteration of this team.

Now we have a bigger (in size) team. Set pieces have improved which is down to many things such as set piece specialist bought in to work on this.

I think getting best out of Haaland and playing direct with winger such a links for Doku (21) is not a like for like for Mahrez means we are in for something special.

What are you thoughts? I know we never know what Pep is plotting for us this season.

If the Burnley game is anything to go by we are going long from Eddie as much as playing out from the back...

It's almost like we've completed another style of footie and showing why we are so hard to beat as we evolve constantly, no other team in the UK or in any main league changes as often as we do.

We have small squad but talented invidious who are versatile to play any tactic. This is one of the edges we have that Arteta is building too. Everyone is copying Pep. His influence is leading to inflexible coach’s to get sacked because they don’t play tippy tippy football and Alldyce did an interview and saying it’s ruining English football lol.

It’s so funny when everyone until bottom leagues playing out of the back and no now pep playing long balls is like battling himself now. Direct football is more fun to watch with talented players tbh but whatever works is what matters. Pep is the master of the game.

I think going long is something we did quite a lot in the second half of last season particularly in response to high press and man to man marking as it leaves a bit of space around Haaland and opportunities for him to win it. Seem to remember it featuring against Arsenal.
Don't think we will go long unless here is a press as there is less room.

One thing guaranteed, whatever the style, Arsenal will be trying to do it within a few months.
Yet they can’t because they haven’t got a big centre forward like us, it’s obvious lots of teams will go man for man but now we have a plan b which we didn’t in the past, we have so many tools in the box, full backs to overload midfield, wingers to stretch the game or route one, teams are going to fucked any way they try to stop us, if we could do normal wingers instead of inverted as well that would be the icing on the cake.

Used that tactic lots of times against the high press

Its going to be interesting when he plays Jonny Jonny Stones with Gvardiol in the same team

The reason we went long is cuz they went man to man and didn't press Eddie. Was the same against arsenal and Brighton last season. And Leeds who got torn a new one.

I think the new evolution is in the physicality of our play
