Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

it's like scratching a scab, it will bleed and sting even more than the injury that the scab was formed from.
the players are what he picks from what he sees in training, so if they are not giving 100% then why pick them ?
as for the fans booing at half-time, they were the same fans clapping them off so again pep it goes both ways.

My club Manchester city are bigger than any players or manager, the fans have the right to boo a bad half, just like pep storming off down the tunnel not happy ? but the end of the game, go and take a look at pep reactions, did that look like an unhappy manager after the win,

everybody can see our major problem, and it's at left back / left wing back ? most of the trouble and mistake come from our left side of defence, AKE is not a left back or left wing back, PEP is dancing with the devil down the left and has pep ever really sort out the left back to balance the team

for me, it's a great bit of minds games by pep ? it's covering his back against the players' loss of form.
like I said, the manager sees everything in training and picks the team, just like when winning every week.

YES, pep can wrong ? maybe needs the club to say OK pep here are the options, a rebuild in the summer and 4 or 5 senior players can be moved on or used as squad players, but the money is there and let's get the left back sorted once and for all, Or we look at what happens with what's left of the season and Champions League and talk in the summer about what's best going forward,

BUT this stinks of a pep's major mind game over arsenal ? he's want to put out we are in a mess and players have turned off, get the message out there we are done and don't fancy the fight ?

that 2nd half is not a team full of players that are happy to rollover, far from it ? we are just out of form and looking for a spark and tonight it shown in the 2nd half, pep and the 4th goal or pep at the final whistle says it all
I still think fans lack of reaction for the handball genuinely f'ked him off. We need that v Arsenal as the games wll be so tight.....I think Pep had that in his mind, he's quite clever!!

If that booing was of the team and not the ref then I am ashamed of the fans.

We’re fucking second in the league with 19 games to play (including two against the current leaders), qualified for the knockout stages of the CL with games left, and on to the next round of the FA Cup. And are in a relatively short bad spell.

I said I wasn’t angry but numb at halftime, because I was more angry with the ref than anything, and was worried we didn’t have the fight to come back right now, especially with the suspect officiating and the fan reaction at the halftime whistle. Things don’t seem the same as last season in many ways.

But they proved me wrong and I was right back to being fired up. And I can’t imagine ever booing the team, unless it was doing some pretty obviously awful things on and/or of the pitch (most likely unrelated to football). Pep acknowledge things are amiss and threw down the gauntlet after the match.

How fucking entitled do you have to be to boo your team after a few bad performances in the midst of the best football ever seen at City, sustained over a decade.

Again, I hope that is not what most fans were doing, but they should be ashamed if they were.
I went in for a pint after their second goal so didn't hear the booing but I would hope the booing was aimed at that shambles of a ref and not the players. If not then shame on those fans - stay at home please

We need a nasty twat of a Centre Mid. A Craig Bellemy / Paul Dickov to kick off and grab ppl by the throat when needed.

It's something we not had in this era that I can recall and I honestly think it would go a long way.
Nigel De Jong was a proper enforcer but he would be getting sent off every other game these days.

Our home support is no worse than Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge, Emirates etc….i can live with that!
So why does Pep have to tell the whole fucking world live on tv that were shit (and not for the first time)
Does Ten Haag? Klopp? Arteta? I’ve also missed Potter mentioning how poor Chelsea fans were in his interview after City sang “is this the Etihad” at Stamford Bridge the other week.
Maybe try not to mention the fans (again) Pep. This shit sticks on the walls and your giving rival fans ammunition FFS
£70.00 for a ticket and the manager has a pop at you after his team put’s a peformance like that first half.

Were not perfect but which supporters are on a freezing Thursday night?

If pep has taught me anything it’s to trust him no matter what, I’ll have a moan he’ll get things wrong. He won’t bring on subs he’ll start the wrong players BUT he gets it right more than any manager ever, the Ederson mistake doesn’t mean we stop playing out from the back, Pep knows best, I trust him over any manager and would back him over any player, he’s become ingrained in this club, if conte gets booed he doesn’t care, he’s a chelsea man. Pep cares cause this is where he’s found his people and his home.

They were dreadful in the first half man. Those fans had every right to boo.
Hindsight is 20/20 now, but things looked increadly bleak before that 2nd half turnaround.
Shame players can’t assess the fan’s’ performance - it would be an eye opener. The players will tell you how much a rallying support can help them. However, as demonstrated on here, when we’re losing the support is crap.
