Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

As Pep has revealed, we have players who aren't pulling their weight and I agree, so don't care about their feelings.
Yep major respect to Pep.

Definition of insanity is trying same thing over again and expecting different results.

So he changed it up majorly and stuck to his guns despite Ederson's errors making him look like a mad Professor Calculus.

Think he is majorly hinting at a refresh not due to talent but due lack of hunger and self-motivation and accidentally nailed it and created a cliché that will last a long time:

Most of us support (or want to support) Manchester City F.C. not Happy Flowers F.C.

Those "Get Pep out because Pep has lost it and berates his own fans" clowns are either rags, scousers, gooners, plastic twitter accounts click baiting or nothing more Instant football experts - Just add water!

Certainly not Man City fans. Maybe they were once but are now content Happy Flowers F.C. fans.

It sort of reminds me of Gunny in Full Metal Jacket that some just want to eat donuts.

I understand the changes in fan demographics and the pricing out of so many fans but if you had told the 1980s me that there would be boos (from a small minority) after achieving what we have over recent years I would have been gobsmacked - and to be honest I still am.

And I hate Iron Maiden !

So do I, but you know what I mean!

As Pep reminds us, it does not matter what you did yesterday. It's about the here and now.

I long got fed up of people saying we need to remember where we came from.

Of course we should, but we also need to remember where we are now.

Football waits for nobody and I love the fact Pep knows it.

I'll go with Pep, though, who clearly tore them a new one at half-time because the first-half was passive and lacking in any real threat.

Pep isn't fooling anyone when he said we were better than Spurs in the first half.

That's like saying Kylie Minogue is easier on the eye than Theresa May.

I like to think I know what I am watching, and too many players have been dialling it in for weeks.

spot on

it's not just about last night, it's the setup and goals we have leaked all season, the defence is all over the place, can you name the back 4 each week ? how many players do we play in defence or holding midfield at home

it's the better teams that have world-class players that hunt down and hurt your weaknesses ? It's what they watch and train when playing us, we are leaking goals fast than the goals going in at the other end, without Haaland goals this season I think we would be fucked and below Liverpool and Chelsea

I don’t disagree with anything you have said there.

But can we both agree we don’t want to become the rags or dippers, booing the team every time they play poorly or going through a bad patch? Or throw our toys out of the pram if we happen not to win the league once every three or four seasons?

you are spot on mate, but what i do want and pep called it last night is standing up for our younger lads when they are targeted like rico was by that twat hojbjerg yesterday
ferna zabba and vinne wouldn't put up with that shit
Agreed, it was crying out for Rodri (who has done that more this season) stepping in a bit more, but who knows maybe it’s a directive from the coaching staff to let him learn to deal with it himself, he’s a kick-boxer by all accounts so used to giving it and getting one back, and to his credit he never took a step back, one of the most enjoyed individual performances of the season

It had zero to do with it as you only respond to that as a player if you've indeed been playing for shite the entire half... they weren't. Whatever was said at the half and whomever said it need to keep doing so. I am betting Ruben peeled some paint and made a few hands go trembly. I think his steel in vocal leadership is long missed in this club. Fuck the know nothing elitist spoiled "my first City kit was Grealish and second was Haaland" so called fans who know less about football than the average 6 year old kid playing the game.
So the fans can't boo but Ruben can peel the paint? Why would he do that is he thought we were playing well?

The fans can't provide detailed tactical analysis or running stats as they walk off the pitch but they can suggest they'd maybe like to pull their fingers out and put a bit of effort in. Clearly something was said by someone in the dressing room, considering the immediate change in tempo in the second half, so I can't see what the difference is between that and the fans booing. As for which one had the most impact, no idea, but think it was clear no one was happy at half time and everyone, bar Spurs and Arsenal were at full time and that's surely what matters.

Sunday is now key - the players need to keep that effort up and the fans need to put the effort in to supporting them

None of them “fans” were at York away for sure
