Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

Embarrassing supporters. That home crowd are passionless. Soulless stadium and has been for a long time. United fans created an amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford last week and they’ve had not a lot to shout about in recent years. I think we have the quietest Fanbase in the Premier League. Away fans brilliant. Home fans disgraceful. Always leaving early. Never create an atmosphere. Liverpool at Wembley outsung us for the best part of the day… booing A pep Guardiola team.. you are embarrassing and brought shame on my club. I actually have started hating our fan base. Sort yourselves out and get behind The greatest Manchester City team and management I’ve ever seen.
Do you go to games ? Every post /like is slagging off blues at games

Of course not. And I don't see it being like that.

I chose to shout crap at the half-time whistle, I don't think anyone was co-ordinating a booing-fest, minimal at best, but enough for a member of the media (Sam Matterface) to give Pep an open goal.

I'm on the same page as Pep, we have people in the team selling him and us short, I just don't think he needs to throw the fans in to the mix, it just fuels the bogus narrative about City fans in general.

Eddie has been shit for most of this season and when he does something like last night, he's always gonna get it - certainly from me.
Read an article in the Mag about how entitled City fans have become and would Newcastle fans become like us. Pep's rant just fuels the myth about City fans who have been some of loyalist fans in world football over the years. For me having a go at the fans isn't a good look. Just my opinion.

High risk but genius from Pep to prove to the players who played slowly and conceded twice by allowing them to go out in the second half and prove to themselves that they’ve got that second half performance in them without relying on the subs.

Just goes to show how much of football is in the head, even at the highest level

We are probably now a 50% local club and 50% tourist attraction and the manager needs to realize that.

Last night the amount of Asian fans around me and around the group was noticeable all with half and half scarfs. That wasnt to see City that was the Son factor.

I agree , but he’s never gone off his tits like tonight , I’ve a funny feeling that Kev for one is at the centre of this , something isn’t right behind the scenes.
He was content enough to create disharmony with his International colleagues,so who is to say he isn't a happy bunny here too?

Gundo was heavilly hinting at something/someone.

I was there and don’t recall much booing at HT probably because the wall of noise from the PA system that boots up when the HT whistle goes. Maybe the comfy nice people he talked about are in the vast amount of posh expensive seats that proliferate the stadium, either way i couldn’t give two fucks, we were shit in the first half, if those who dragged their arses to the stadium on a freezing cold night when they could have stayed home and watch it on the box want to let of steam then that’s up to them. I thought the atmosphere was pretty good especially second half. The season has been weird and fucked up cos of the WC bang in the middle. Either way I’m looking forward to Wolves on Sunday. Come on City!
Atmosphere is always better when the team is playing well, it's a no brainer. Pep knows that.

We have 36,000 season tickets. Most of those will be long standing and enough to make a noise. There are enough fans to make a noise, we just don't do it often enough. Of course we get day trippers who don't know the songs or feel the need to be vocal, they are a minority.
Our fan base has been a lot of 40+ age fans for a long long time , many are a lot older than that , the older fans especially (not all) just want to sit and enjoy the game now - coupled with a lot of day trippers who don’t know 1 song from another leaves a smaller number of vocal fans than you think , there certainly isn’t 36000 fans each week screaming and shouting . We have tens of thousands of teenage and twenty plus fans that are priced out , we should be encouraging them to attend through well priced available tickets -because you mark my words , when the success hits a blip then so will attendances , we should be getting these younger fans in NOW otherwise they won’t bother at all, the more fans we have with a sensible , accessible pricing structure, the day trippers will just fuck off to the latest hot shot in town , tbh , I find it slightly embarrassing seeing loads of empty seats at a lot of our games. The proof of the pudding is when we get north of 50000 at the ground for the early stages of domestic cup competitions- and that’s down to a proper, sensible pricing structure.
