Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

Pep was calling out fans without thinking that he hasn't had to pay to go to a game for donkeys years. He really needs to think about it. Most of us home fans have been going for years and will still be going long after Pep and the current crop of players have gone. Also does he not realise that those brilliant away fans we have are also home supporters. I wasn't happy when he had a go at us last season and I wasn't pleased the other night.
He’s not having a go about folk paying good money to go to watch games. He’s on about our dire atmosphere at home which is very quite most of the time. We sat in silence first half of spurs.our away crowd are decent. Always singing with a passion.

The fire is still burning in pep,but he’s called the players out and the fans let’s fucking get going,we could see a similar game on Sunday but it’s up to us then to get behind the team and push them over the line give them that extra energy..
This post every time. Well said blue. I remember going to Roker park Sunderland with City.. we sang where’s your famous Roker roar.. every time Sunderland attacked us in our half they rose to the occasion. Very excitable Makems with us lot adding to creating a powder keg of an atmosphere. Back in the day

I booed because we had played badly and made stupid mistakes.

Like Pep, I can accept losing to a better team every day of the week (within reason)

I can't accept half arsed efforts and elimentary mistakes.

I won't accept it from Pep or the players. They are supposedly at the top of their profession and while nobody is perfect, the failings have been on show for the majority of this season.

It means too much to me. Passion comes in all forms, Pep, and I have more than you will ever have for this Club.

Irrespective of how brilliant you are at your job.

Football consumes you?

My love for City consumes me more. Not even in the same postcode.

My typing is getting worse!

I've said elsewhere, I won't boo the team but I'll certainly moan and groan at a match if performances are bad. However, I try to live by the rule that getting on the players' backs in not helpful.

Pep of course won't have the passion for City that we have, he's a Barca boy, born and bred and that is fair enough: he is a Catalan, not a Mancunian.

His passion for winning though would take some equalling: rather obviously, it's one of the reasons he is so successful.

What annoys me, and this is not aimed at you, is when our supporters go on about, he doesn't get us - often prevalent in regard to Derby games. Quite why anyone thinks a highly intelligent man, who is not just a fan but also has spent most of his playing career at and also very successfully managed his boyhood team who happen to have one of the firecest rivalries with another side in sport, cannot empathise with and understand how the supporters of the club he has managed for seven years feel, is beyond me.

You mentioned, I think, the lavish bubble he lives in, and there's no doubt he does. The players do too. They are so well looked after and paid. However, Pep is smart and comes from a very humble background. I think he understands plenty.

Anyhoo, I think the crowd was actually one of his least concerns. He wants to put the spark into his players and he'd like a bit more help from the stands, which ain't unreasonable.

Did you sing and shout ? Clap? anything or sat in silence ?
