Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

I love that from Pep, yes we might get some guff from rival fans but every supporter in the world would kill to have Pep in charge but we him. He’s entitled to say whatever he wants, he’s the best in the world and one of the greatest of all time. I love watching us play and dread the day he leaves. He feels we need a collective rocket then let him deliver it.

He never moans at players when we lose so it’s great timing when we win like that to say that’s not enough. He wants more and that’s fine with me. Great to see his fire still burning. Arsenal should be a little twitchy after tonight, especially if we beat Wolves Sunday. Can’t wait.

Bit of a lame excuse that. Do you only sing when we play well?
Not at all and it seems some have misunderstood what I said - I love the football we’ve played over the past few seasons and the trophies we have won, but the recent few matches we’ve played have been extremely boring possession style football. Like the first of the two Chelsea matches, I was nearly asleep watching that. First half today felt futile - what was the point in all that possession? I’m not surprised if fans on a cold Thursday night watching that were quiet.

It probably come out of frustration as the play has been very sterile in the last few games.
I am not one for booing, It certainly doesn’t help anyone. Hopefully on Saturday we get the right response from the crowd and todays 2nd half performance from the off

I believe Pep knows we have a real challenge and more focus and effort is needed for the remaining league games and cups. I can’t help thinking a lot of his rant was geared to being in good form, on the pitch and terraces for the league and in particular the CL games to come

he’s spot on. Our home support, vocally, is wank. I went for 30 years and gave my ticket up a few years back because I just lost the enjoyment going week in week out, the football was amazing but the whole experience just totally underwhelming. I don’t see it changing the either

After Utd I said this is where Fernandinho would have told some home truths in a team meeting and that we don’t have anyone that’s going to do that this time. This Pep interview pretty much confirms that. He’s had to do it himself as the dressing room lacks leadership.
Absolutely, he has constantly lost those who would help him out when needed..Vinnie, Arteta, Fern...he just seems mentally exhausted having to look after a bunch of pussies....and took his frustration out on the situation and the fans., but also it was a very clever move... but how do you get old blokes and OAP women to start frothing at the mouth lke faux scousers from ..Worcester who have onlu=y been going for a couple of years...you can't
Barcelona and Real wave hankies and smoke cigars, old ladies take their knitting to games there...he's used to it really

It’s incredible how many people can’t seem to see what pep was saying. He wasn’t upset by the booing, he is upset that the fans, players, board etc have become too complacent and soft.

Happy with what we have done and he doesn’t see the same drive and determination that arsenal have right now.

It’s brilliant phycology from pep imo

Embarrassing supporters. That home crowd are passionless. Soulless stadium and has been for a long time. United fans created an amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford last week and they’ve had not a lot to shout about in recent years. I think we have the quietest Fanbase in the Premier League. Away fans brilliant. Home fans disgraceful. Always leaving early. Never create an atmosphere. Liverpool at Wembley outsung us for the best part of the day… booing A pep Guardiola team.. you are embarrassing and brought shame on my club. I actually have started hating our fan base. Sort yourselves out and get behind The greatest Manchester City team and management I’ve ever seen.
Fuck off. Rags are quieter than anyone until derby day or the scousers. We’re louder and more passionate most weeks. We’ve been poor lately just waiting on another Haaland hat trick or win but don’t ever compare us to those cunts.

TBF most of the supporter are within their 50's

Our crap support is nothing to do with the ‘day-trippers’. Too many dyed-in-the-wool blues turn up every week and remain silent.

F*cking right they do, especially in the Tunnel Club, right next to Pep. He should turn around and tell them to get singing and to get behind the team instead of sitting there in silence, pissing about on their mobiles, and talking. Pep should then thank Soriano in person for creating yet another sterile corporate area inside the ground.

If you look at the players after the final whistle, they went over to the South stand as a group only as they recognise that they try there fucking hardest to create an atmosphere I’m in the the family stand second tier and fuck me it’s hard work, I sing all the songs but there is nothing unless we’re winning. Please for fuck sake Pep needs us, the team needs us, sing simple songs and support and sing the players on the pitch.

He's right, it is quiet, we do expect and there is an element of complacency.

In fairness its human nature.
But as fans, we are the same people, we don't change players like the team does and therefore require the team to ignite us, to entertain us.

It will never be like it used to be when we didn't win anything. You can't put the beans back in the tin again.

But.... At times in the ground you could hear a pin drop.

F*ckkng spot on inchy!

You can’t slag them off though , they get tickets through supporters clubs ( and 17 year old johnny come lately scrotes) that us mere 30 year plus supporters can’t get, so let’s slag the other 49000 fans that don’t get the privilege of away tickets - it’s all our fault ffs

Well said. United fans were silent till they scored on Saturday. Anyone who went would know that.
