Pep’s Spurs (H) Post-Match Interview

Embarrassing supporters. That home crowd are passionless. Soulless stadium and has been for a long time. United fans created an amazing atmosphere at Old Trafford last week and they’ve had not a lot to shout about in recent years. I think we have the quietest Fanbase in the Premier League. Away fans brilliant. Home fans disgraceful. Always leaving early. Never create an atmosphere. Liverpool at Wembley outsung us for the best part of the day… booing A pep Guardiola team.. you are embarrassing and brought shame on my club. I actually have started hating our fan base. Sort yourselves out and get behind The greatest Manchester City team and management I’ve ever seen.
Where were you seated? I’d love to be able to watch what you’re doing, so I can learn what a less embarrassing fan does?

Bang on the money stevieatlasblue!

It's the new breed, the next gen, the social media society! Our fans have become increasingly spoilt. A player has a bad game, and the fans are all over social media ripping into them and comparing them to other players from other clubs. This is a Title Winning Team! A team who has given us countless euphoric moments, teams that have come back from the dead in 3 consecutive decades
I was there with my Mum and Dad in 99, tears rolling down my eyes when Robert Taylor put it past Nicky Weaver for 2-0.

Then you're listening to 2 delusional Dickheads from some shitty Twitter page slating us on a watchalong saying they "hate this team". Unbelievable, really.

And who’s leading the Twitter and social media charge? City are!! The City Metaverse is currently under construction. See you inside it soon!

Once the fans used to sing songs before and when the players came out on to the pitch to generate an atmosphere. Now we’ve got a (f*cking) laser show instead.

The fans haven’t created and engineered this sterile match day experience, the club has.

Roll on Wolves and the atmosphere that Pep wants.(hopefully?)

Good night!

This is bollocks. It’s always been the way, always had moaning dick heads all over the stadium even before the live watch alongs etc. I don’t know if it’s because we are English or Mancunian and not known for being the most emotional people but Pep clearly has a point about the fans.it’s not just about turning up and a silent arse on the seat, it has to be more

Am comparing the way Pep usually plays to the way we are now. Still shouldn't have a go at the fans for his tactics and style going wrong as they were 2-0 down against a poor Sprus side. Sorry
get you and your right, but think the crowd were just frustrated that not one BUT two went in in minutes again. Pep was right some nghts you get lucky and bounce back...tougher to do that now in prem v anyone...Teams are better...not that many lose a 2 goal lead. He was fked off at that situation, tool it out on fans and fans were fked off as well... Not b=necessarily first half performance just that everyone was fed up again...2 in 5 mins...again!

Winning 4 leagues out 5 ? What else do you want? We could be Brazil with Pele or Barca with Messi or Arsenal with Henry, the fans would remain the same. City fans aren’t the most vocal, we are vociferous but as a unit at home we aren’t good enough
We are the most genuine fans we cheer when we play well and we don't manufacture atmosphere. You know we playing well when the crowd is cheering them on

Correct, that light show shit was complete bollocks. thought the crowd was pretty good especially second half. Also liked the rapport with the blues who stayed behind to applaud the team. Not sure why Alvarez gave away his shorts, that was a bit odd.

Pep is spot on in his comments. There's no point getting protective about it.

He's right about the players and he's right about the fans. There is a malaise amongst everyone this season and there is an expectation that we will just "turn it around". It doesn't work like that and the players need to step up as do the fans NOW.

It's time as fans that we create a serious back to the walls atmosphere starting against Wolves on Sunday. We're in a serious fight with Arsenal this season and if we want to win the league we have to step up and play our part.

I don't go to every game now due to personal circumstances but I was sat next to a guy at the game tonight and he turned to my friend and said "is he normally like this?" jokingly, because I got fired up at 2-1 in the 2nd half. If this is the general consesus among fans then no wonder the players are feeling this malaise too. We're in a serious fight for the rest of the season and every little % and decision from a referee could make all the difference come the end of the season. This is where we as fans play our part. The team needs to step up aswell but heed the warning from Pep. He isnt doing this for nothing, hes doing it because he needs us to do it. Up the blues!

What a load of self entitled bell ends on here. We've just come back from 2 down against a Spurs team that we usually struggle against to win 4-2. I was there, SS level 3, and yeah the atmosphere was shit. I wanted it to be like Liverpool 2019 tonight (never experienced anything like that night) and it fell well short, for what could be considered as a make or break game in the title race, and coming back from 2 down, fans were shit and didn't do their bit tonight. Pep, with everything he's done for our club and how lucky we've been to have him, has EVERY right to call the fans out.

People on here moaning and sticking the boot in, slating him. Get a grip man. Obviously weren't around 20+ years ago.

Clearly the booing pissed him off and for me there is absolutely no need for that and it wasn’t just a few either. He is wrong about the first half though. The crowd were making noise but it was mostly directed at Spurs shit tactics of fouling our players over and over and the ref being his usual weak self. It wasn’t silent. The booing I think was a culmination of weeks of poor performances and what the fans perceive rightly or wrongly as some players not showing enough fight, as Pep alluded to and making stupid errors leading to goal after goal. Clearly the fans have a role to play but the players do to. Too many have been too half arsed this season and lack leadership. We need a leader in the back four and Stones stepped up second half. Ake showed tremendous spirit and fight and both Haaland and Alvarez upped their work rate by 2 notches. All the players did well second half but that wasn’t the case in the first when we played ok. It conceded another 2 sloppy goals

I think Pep also said when Rico got fouled 4 times there was no passion from his team mates.
We need a nasty twat of a Centre Mid. A Craig Bellemy / Paul Dickov to kick off and grab ppl by the throat when needed.

It's something we not had in this era that I can recall and I honestly think it would go a long way.

One of the reasons City players don’t confront the referee is simple, they don’t trust PiGMOL and are right not to. Anyway pleased Pep kept Alvarez and Haaland on together, they really didn’t give Spurs any rest and that was defo FFSs best ever performance in a City shirt.
