Proud of Pep
Exactly right, once you cross over the bridge you are in Salford, so it's literally a few yards into Salford where he lives. Are those City Suites buildings in Salford?
I never would have thought that. They must be about three steps from the border if they are.
Congratulations Marvin on the Doctorate - serious commitment and hard graft to get one.I recently was awarded my Doctorate. I worked really hard for it. If an honorary degree is intended to bestow recognition by an academic institution for a man or woman who has made an immense contribution to a city, then none is more deserving than Pep Guardiola. I had many low points during my studies, and it helped that for much of that time that City were Champions of England.
For most of my life, I gave my support to Manchester City in the bleakest of times, but in the last decade all that love and devotion was returned in spades by Manchester City because of the talent of Guardiola and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the last wonderful decade. It has nourished all of us.
He could have popped into the Millstone for a swifty and a sing song. It’s rammed on Wednesday afternoons!I see Pep was also the star of the show during a bit of filming on Thomas St, Northern Quarter today ..... i'd love to have seen the shop staffs faces had he strolled into the place with all his university honorary degree gear on, lol ...... he was filming an advert for payment company, VISA apparently ....... grrrr, just my luck, i was only in this fkn shop on Saturday afternoon!

"I know how important the University of Manchester is to our city. It’s the home to a lot of research and it has a history of discovery. So, honestly, to be honoured in this way by such an esteemed institution is an amazing feeling. I want to thank everyone at the University of Manchester for this moment – and I want to thank everyone at Manchester City for their constant support"

Give him the keys to the City, jus primae noctis and free pints with pork scratchings at Mary D's
Done many a karaoke session in there on a Wednesday night before the game.. Some great characters in there, especially the retired firefighters that sit near the little stage, there every week without fail …He could have popped into the Millstone for a swifty and a sing song. It’s rammed on Wednesday afternoons!
We need to start drinking Boddington's (Vimto if he doesn't drink alcohol), and have mushy peas and "gray-veh" on his paella.Honorary Manc, not that this accolade needed to prove it.
Fucking love the man.
I wish i could find a place that serves Bodingtons. We need to start drinking Boddington's (Vimto if he doesn't drink alcohol), and have mushy peas and "gray-veh" on his paella.
I assume, by your post, that it no longer exists. It's never been readily available over here and, when I'm over for a game, it's not my poison of choice, so I don't go looking for it.I wish i could find a place that serves Bodingtons.
To a degreeI got a CSE grade 1 in English language, is that the same as a degree??
Just seems to have vanished in Manchester the last few years.I assume, by your post, that it no longer exists. It's never been readily available over here and, when I'm over for a game, it's not my poison of choice, so I don't go looking for it.
1 degree from 360 I’m thinking :-)To a degree
