You make a respectable point, I must admit.
What's important - we can see how pep is working on - to suit [Debruyne and Bernardo] in midfield...
Potentially he wants to play like this..

today it was something like this - but foden was playing on debruyne`s position and others accordingly..
But pattern can be seen and that's something - what can be the "KEY" to fight for the title next year..
With this tactic Pep solves number of problems:
1) Debruyne stays on the right wing and continues with his amazing crosses
2) Bernardo plays on the position where he is the BEST -> behind the Striker -> N10 position
3) After wide wings have been destroyed since sane is out and inside wings aren't as effective -> this tactic can be "GOAL MACHINE" as stopping debru-bernardo-sterling attacking behind the striker will be impossible for any team in the world..
4) We can see why club is interested in Chilwell and Koulibaly.. Walker/Cancelo and Chilwell/Mendy as well as good defense will be vital - this tactic to become successful in the end..
5) Sterling gets role in the middle as well and this can be helpful for his future career..
In overall - lots of positives can be taken from this game and we may be seeing "building" of the team and formation, that wins the title next year <3

His comments are as you would expect from him but nevertheless good to hear. I'd hope he wouldn't coach any other English team but that might not be something he'd to commit to here and now.
Love him to stay longer, but I can’t see it.
He’s already extended his contract and I think that was his way of saying thank you to the club and to the fans
Bar his intense work ethic, I think he wants to go back to Barcelona, and back to a Mediterranean lifestyle. I think his Wife certainly does, even though She has never criticised Manchester. Living in Manchester can take it out on you and your family, especially if you’ve come from the Mediterranean.
Hopefully Pep will be involved in finding his successor, a new Manager who can in some way or another carry on Pep’s lasting legacy at City?

I'd think job satisfaction is far more important to Pep than lifestyle. He plans to retire early so he should have many years where he can live wherever he wants.
I'm not sure how old his eldest children are. I think they are close in age but in different years at school and it could be that both will stay in UK at least until they finish A-Levels so that could be worth another year on his contract.
This is what genius looks like. Almost no defending to be done in our half at all. If we get a few things sorted out, another top CB for example, we really should be conceding <20 goals a season, like his Barca and Bayern sides. I hope we manage that before Pep goes.
