To be honest, i dont mind them together when we have sterling Jesus and foden as the front 3. That press leaves the dynamic duo to just clean up hurried clearances and we keep the pressure on. Any other front 3 and thet get exposed and we lose cutting edge.

But it is still the same type of formation. We need something drastically different. Something wiht 2 strikers. I want to see him experiment with 3-5-2. This game would have been ideal

It has worked in some games, namely Madrid, it works better when Jesus plays, the energy that Foden, Jesus and Bernardo provide should be ample. Besides I think our biggest miss is Silva, more than I realised we would, finding those gaps and threading passes Gundogan is the nearest we have to that, but think it’s something we need to address and try and find. Have no idea who that is though. Quite possibly that player isn’t at the club.

So what's the excuse for playing Mahrez, Torres and Sterling ahead of Foden then? He's been better than all 3 in the league. Mahrez was atrocious at Spurs and gave away a stupid pass that led to their second. He can't say that on the back of Foden not starting the last 5 games. He's making up his excuses as he goes along.
