Pep needs to play the percentages. We have the most feared, lethal number 9 in the game and he’s been essentially blunted by Pep’s obsessive fear of being burned on the transition. With Haaland in the team the risk vs reward is much more favourable for City if the team plays its natural game and creates chances.

I think that's our strongest squad. The problem is that some players are a bit tired or a bit off form right now, partly because last season was very difficult (look at Liverpool and West Ham who went far in Europe as well), partly due to the WC where we had 16 players.

We'll improve over the next months.

I really hope so. The rest of January could be make or break for us for this season.

Honestly theres some real down beaters isnt there. I dont think haalands an issue. I think the issue peps got right now is his two most creative players in foden and kev have gone of the boil and lost their form (personally think they need to sit on the bench for next game)

i terms of peps comments about not winning the league i didnt take it as him throwing the towel in i took it as him trying to create a seige mentality amongst the players and us against everyone vibe.

we need ruben back in my opinion because i feel like were lacking that leader on the pitch.

To be honest I thought we were quite fortunate to win at Stamford Bridge. We were poor that night too bar about 25 mins.

Let's face it, we were quite fortunate to get nil at Southampton on Wednesday.

The same man with the same formations and tactics won us an unprecedented trophy haul. This run will reinvigorate him to silence the critics. He set the bar so high and now he is getting the blowback for not maintaining it.

I wouldn’t want anyone else in charge. Some players need to go and some fresh blood will be introduced. It reminds me of the ageing fullback problem when pep first arrived. It takes time to fix. FFP is hampering us.

Very true and it will happen again. We need to play better to give them little opportunities to screw us over. A dressing room feeling hard done by is better than 1 that is moping about.

Could be a really blessing in disguise. Them against us again as it always is. Gets the best out of us when we have our backs up.

i think some are forgetting were still second in the league, still in fa cup and champions league. Yes were not great at the moment but that just means there a huge room for improvement. People forgetting arsenal and united are playing there top level yet were still there with them despite our form just imagine when we do get that bit of form back and the levels we will go up.

im personally not giving up on anything until its mathmatically impossible to do so. even if arsenal win tommorow which i thin spurs get something (winner in NLD is usually home team) weve still got to play them twice. i also remember last season dippers were 13 points behind up with 2 games in hand so 8 (which could be same tommorow) and were within a point of us. Liverpool were a hugely better team than this arsenal team. I think we will get our form back soon

i also think peps comments today are to create a siege mentality amongst the players staff and us fans. kind of like us against them all. I hope everyone at the game thursday get behind the team and sing loud and proud. make the etihad bounce and get behind the boys
