Pep Guardiola - 2022/23

Not a great set-up... unless he was playing for the draw. Toothless going forward and he's made all our key players run into the ground with loads of games to go. Having said all that, we were definively solid(cant say that in the past vs these), all long shots from Madrid. will take 1-1 at the Bernabeu

I think he played for a draw personally and aimed to control the game. It worked for the majority apart from a wonder strike. They lost their rag being starved of the ball, the fans got on their backs and they started whinging like fuck as a result.

No subs was an odd one, though, but not a major deal IMO. The team out there were zoned in, had been in their individual battles all night and stayed in them.

Looked like he settled for a draw. The problem was Gundogan and Bernardo kept giving the ball away and they brought on fresh legs which we didnt react to.

Anyway its a good result.

I think today Pep was poor. I understand from our past performance not wanting to change anything and settle for the draw, but bith Bernardo and Gundogan were awful. I think some of the players were intimidated, but thankfully we got a draw and at home we are brilliant. Reminded me a little bit the Leipzig game

Have absolutely no clue how he could justify Bernardo and Gundo playing the entire match out. Both were horrendous.

So was Jack.

I swear if Kalvin Philipps was actually reliable option... should‘ve brought him in for Günni and Mahrez/Alvarez and Foden for Jack and Silva

"The eleven players who started the match were exactly the same as those who ended it and Pep Guardiola did something that hadn't happened in 16 years at this stage of the competition. And, curiously, it also happened in a match against a Carlo Ancelotti team, in that case Milan. On April 24, 2007, at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson saw Manchester United beat the Italians (3-2) and also didn't make any changes over the 90 minutes, with Milan going through to the final on away goals (they won 2-1 at home)".

They should have came on for De Bruyne Gundo and Bernado.
You never sub KDB off. Our options for midfielder are really small. We could have only subbed Bernardo for Foden, Or Gundogan for Foden and change Bernado and Foden positions. I really hope Foden plays next week, because Camavinga had it too easy tonight.

Bit cautious from him tonight. Felt like he set us up not to lose the ball as the priority rather than try and create chances and the lack of subs for the last 20 minutes when there were minimum a couple of easy subs to be made that would have helped us really was him settling for a point.

I understand it given the situation and if we go through next week it will be a masterstroke but i know just how good we are, i truly believe we are comfortably the best team in europe and I'll never not want to see us going out to win even if his approach tonight seems sensible.
