Pep absolutely loves De Zerbi. So much of this is what he has brought to Brighton. No surprise that he recently said Brighton are the best in the world at build up, then he unleashes De Zerbi ball on Arsenal but with a long-ball tweak, since we have Haaland. Think it’s going to be the latest widespread evolution in football… press-baiting with quick passing combos to reach the space it creates behind that press. Even against teams that already do want to press (like Arsenal), you can bait them into pressing in ways they don’t really want to.

We played without arguably the best player on the planet for 40 minutes due to an assault by Rudiger and NO ONE ever mentions it. It was a one nil game. Are we supposed to believe it didn't matter after watching what this guy can do at a moment's notice for the better part of 7 years? I get that injuries are part of the game, but if that were the Rags or the Dippers in that same situation and it were Rashford or Salah that had to go off we would be hearing about it daily still, and that's just a slight exaggeration.
