I didn't. You are talking about sides from 3 or 4 years ago when we have been, and are champions since then. No point missed. Whenever we drop points, we have the same response on here, usually involving Sane and Sterling, the latter who was lambasted on here many times, and the former who was wonderful for a period but didn't want to stay. Looking back is utterly pointless.
We havent replaced them though thats the point.

We need pace, and we lack it severely.

It’s not about individuals or reminiscing of days gone by. It’s about Pep producing the best football this country has ever seen, bagging 100 points in 17/18 and winning every domestic trophy in 18/19 and then deciding to completely change the way we play, because of the odd CL defeat. This place is reactionary, no doubt, but nothing has been more reactionary than Pep delivering the best English side ever, and then changing it all because of minute details that cost us in the odd game.

I’m not sure about ridiculous plans for the derby it looked like he introduced them tonight

Can’t work out what’s going on with him at the moment. He seems intent on playing systems which don’t suit our players, and refuses to play people in their natural positions.

We’ve undoubtedly bought some bad players over the past year and sold some good ones, and a number of the squad appear completely out of sorts.

He’s definitely got his hands full.

There is an issue with some of the squad and pep imo and it is ever so slightly starting to unravel this season

Probably had about two high level performances all season. I think Pep needs to decide his strongest 11 and players badly need to earn a spot in that team. We’re actually majorly boring to watch

On you that one Pep. Please sort it for Saturday. Now I’m scared, first time for a derby in a long time when we’ll be the underdogs, they’re flying at the minute and we look like we’ve got lead in our boots. Doesn’t bode well.
Work your magic Pep

To change it, and still keep winning, is what makes him extraordinary. We were exceptional, no doubt, but we were also tactically poles apart from everyone - the game has moved on in the PL.

Not too worried. Today showed that we have zero squad depth though, but these players won't play in the important matches. We have looked far better the stronger the opposition has been (bar Liverpool at Anfield), which bodes well for the remaining of our season. Our physical level is low for the moment, but that I am sure is part of the planification, and I would guess it should get better from now on.

I am a little worried when we have UCL and matches against low-mid table PL, because that's when Pep will rotate, and our bench players are clearly not up to the task.

Also worried if Ake or Rodri or Walker get injured. We need luck, but if we are injury free(important players at least), I know we will win PL and most likely UCL

Who replaced Arteta ?

Arteta was very active on the touch line. All I see now is old men sat down.

Big miss

I’d like to have a pint of what you’ve been drinking tonight. A lot of money needs to be spent in the summer on young quick players. We’re miles off at the moment

I agree our assistants managers are not up to the task, but that is the problem. Every other team wants them because Pep has produced some great managers himself. That and our problems with LB are inexcusable

I haven’t a clue what’s going on to be honest, as I can’t really even begin to comprehend how bad we were tonight.

But it is unusual for so many players to be so out of form at the same time. Some of them look like they’ve forgotten how to play football.

I am mostly possitive, I know, but we are 5 points behind Arsenal and doing well in the UCL. I agree we need 1 winger with pace though, bt I don't think that is a big problem. Let's wait for this month. We finally have Walker back being healthy, and finally one of our wingers (Mahrez) looks dangerous. We are not gonna be back to 17/18 tempo, but we don't need that to be as dominant.
