I didn't say they wanted him to leave. I said there was dissatisfaction by the board with the team's results in the CL. This in turn led to some tensions between Pep and the board.

Think the tensions were more he wasn’t signing a new contract because he was coming to us, nothing to do with c/l.

The German rags have no competition in their league which is why they have to use the chumps as a benchmark. Why any city fan would talk them up is beyond me but at least your next club is sorted unless you go back to Chelsea or whoever.
 
I do not accept the premise that we are all just to mentally inferior to challenge the great man. Great Managers always end up having their ideas, genius and inventiveness caught up by other emerging talent or they just run out of steam. For me Pep is now entrenched in tactics that do not work with the players he has chosen. His stubborn refusal to change is frustrating in the extreme.
Does that mean he cannot re-invent the squad -No... Does it mean he's a busted flush -No
I just wish I could see a spark of his genius in the past months where we just seem to be drifting . Where's your cunning plan Pep.

But that should be normal, or? We had a team between 2013 and 2016 that won everything else without any hesitance (apart from the Supercup - the preseason Community Shield) and with ease. The team was for sure CL winner material. The football then was just great. Only this 3 knockout matches went wrong...

As a fan I miss that football and some elements of it. Right now with Nagelsmann there is no positioning and a bad passing quality. More hero football than anything.
