Irrespective of whether we win anything, this season is up there with Pep’s best ever. We have to remember where we were in the first third of the season, maybe even first half of it. Practically the entire team seemed disinterested, the dressing room seemed oddly dysfunctional. Pep has had to dig so, so deep this season, using every tool available to him, psychological tricks, elite man-management, knowing when to go public with things, when to call people out, when not to etc. And now look at us. This is all down to Pep. Any other manager and we are neck and neck with Liverpool this season imo.

Spot on pal. Physically and mentally these players have had to keep going for such a long period of time. Pep knew that he couldn't have any passengers so he made big calls to allow players to leave in the summer, knowing a happy and committed squad was vital if we were to go again. The balance hasn't been there, the mentality hasn't been there and the effort has been lacking at times. He's tried to get a second striker in to support Haaland. He's tried Lewis as an inverted full back to get the balance there. He's benched players who would traditionally have been the first names in the team. He's pushed Cancelo out in January despite the apparent issues at full back. Yet here we are, firing once again and still making huge changes. Haaland and Foden out, no Walker, no Bernie. The majority would have been concerned seeing the lineup before the Liverpool game, yet it was a masterclass.

Hopefully things keep improving as they have done and we can pull Arsenal in and win the league, and also bring home the CL. Tuchel got the better of Pep over the three game run including the FA Cup semi and CL final. We owe him one and I just hope Pep has another masterclass up his sleeve.

He's also solved the perennial left back problem with Ake and, even more importantly, found a new formation that allows us to pack the midfield and still have a number 9 striker. He's coaxed KDB back to his best and the same could be said for Foden until the op. What a manager he is. The best we've ever had and probably the most influential manager football has ever seen.

Without a doubt mate. The legacy of Pep in this country will last decades. I'd love to see a clip of all the negative comments from commentators/the media in his first season. They all said tiki taka wouldn't work here, they all said he'd fail. Yet here we are. Up and down the country from the top of the prem to grass roots you have teams playing it out from the back, a focus on retaining the ball and a fluidity of football that doesn't look at necessarily having a big lump up top that you hoof the ball to. Even Dyche played a false 9 last night! Imagine that!

Clara chia alleged to have had an affair with the boss, never heard of her but a good looking bird in the photos

Agree with nearly all that. Apart from Tuchel getting the better of him in 3 games. Ok,factually he did but in the league and FA Cup semi Pep put weakened teams out. Fair play to Tuchel they did us in the final but really Pep did himself in that one. Pretty confident lessons have been learned for this year in the champions league. We’ve really clicked now so if Arsenal let us back in we should be set to pounce. A favourable draw in the cup semi will really help us. I’d love us to win the FA Cup this year and just continue playing as we currently are in the other 2 comps and with a bit of luck win one of those 2 also!

The winter World Cup has also had a massive impact on the teams that had the most players there. Look how Bayern, PSG and Madrid have struggled in their leagues this season compared to last year

Pep experimented in the league, as we could. He tried a back 3. Then he tweaked things and tried something else in the FA Cup and then again for the CL final because we lost the first two games. It was all on Pep really but it was because of who he was facing so the credit goes to Tuchel.

He might have learnt. It is early in his time at Bayern so we shouldn't be too concerned at the moment. We are at home first, make it count. They're a good side but we are better.

Take your point but but weird if the 2 games where he’d fucked about with a team and system that had worked all season had got into his head. More likely it was the champions league that got to him like previous seasons

The way Pep has reinvented this team over the course of the season is incredible.
Would take the average manager a couple of seasons; I don’t care what anyone says, this just didn’t look on the cards with early season form… again competing for the 3 main titles and looking rejuvenated, this is feeling very special and come from completely left field

He’s a genius

My gut says keep one of Gundo or Bernardo and next season could be new levels.

Got to be Bernardo if the Bellingham rumours are true; alas though, I think we are seeing the curtain coming down on his city stay… what players both him and gundo are, 75m combined? You won’t see that kind of value again in the modern game!

I said the other day that in my opinion, even if we win nothing, this season still ranks as one of Pep’s best ever seasons. We had a dead team in practically the entire first half of the season, lack of hunger and desire, players out in the cold, a seemingly disruptive or moody dressing room, happy flowers, everything seemed off. Then Pep has turned it into this current set up with the familiar City juggernaut clicking into gear. To achieve that from where we were is astonishing. Will it win us a pot or two? Maybe. But even if it’s marginally too late, just to be here at all is mad.
