No illusion, the game is exactly as i have described.Pep is the manger,he instructs our players how to play and he chooses the methods in which to do so.

Who's instructions are they following not to play the early/long ball if not Pep's?
I think you are right, I have heard him say take a pass back in one of those city documentaries.

Do you think we have anyone in the dressing room that would go face to face with Pep?

After losing Kompany and Fern, I would say no.

Same goes with his coaching staff, Lilo Lil would have his say, not sure the others do anything but agree.

Pep has a big job on here with a rebuild.
Right back and centre halfs we are covered. We need 2 competent left backs.
Gundo,Kev need replacing.
Cancelo just needs moving on.
Jack and Phil on thin ice.Its not Peps fault that most players are vastly miles off it at the moment.
We need to be a liitle pragmatic even when the scum were dominating they didnt win it every year and they had less competition.
Just need to try and nick a cup and we must learn the right time to let players go piss can was a master of that.Maybe we should try playing 2 up top and having a plan b,you win games by scoring goals not passing sideways and back.
Still onwards and upwards at least we are not watching the likes of Brannan and Creaney
That league Cup looks winnable this year:-)

i didn't watch the match because i was working, and have no intention of rewatching it, i've seen the goals though, now according to what i've read after a cagey first half we dominated the second half, thats what ive read/watched, i've also read that the first goal changed the game completely , now if that is true what has pep got wrong , we dominated the 2nd half ,got the goal at a very tough place to go in front of a manic 75000 fans and looked set to win the game(again not my opinion), we aren't going to get many chances in big games against a team on form and contrary to city's fans thought on blue a half decent team .

before the world cup we were playing the same way and the big lad got 27 goals,i do think we are off it a little bit, but according to what i've read the 2nd half was like the dominant city we are used to, so again what did pep get wrong yesterday or did the players heads go after that first goal.
It's not about one game as that would be utter folly. We have been playing poorly for a lot of the season, real turgid football.

Now with these players we will win games but our standard has dropped and its past the stage of just a blip. We can only say we have time to turn it round for so long.

Every bad result or performance comes with excuses as is the way with every great team on the slide. You never know until it's too late.

Anyhow let's hope things change as we have been saying for quite a while. Pray for a spurs win or draw today and hope pep comes up with something.

The thing is, nobody knows what's going to happen. Nobody thought the Centurions would lose from Wigan of all teams, and nobody thought we were going to win 21 games in a row after lingering in midtable in December 2020.

I think this team will win things this season, and some of the performances on the way to the trophies will be incredible.

Many are victims of the recency bias: several poor games and we are not good enough any more. Naive. The potential of this team is huge, and it is likely to get realised over the next months, given who is the manager.
I wish I was as convinced as you are.

I don’t like Peps body language, this might be a season too far for him, hes Coming over as if he’s reading headlines and fans views. He came out with not interested in Carabou cup and league last night, his digs at his formations and team selection. I do wonder if the Haaland deal i something he really wanted, I’ve said before he’s never really had this sort of player before and maybe it’s fucking with his head how to put him in. Alvarez seems more the model of his player but Haaland is undroppable because of the hype. I honestly think if we win the CL this year he walks citing burnout.

Pep guardiola is our greatest manager ever by far and has give us enough success and amazing Memories for a lifetime. Even if we win nothing this year and it’s another year like 18/19 where we are massively off the pace I have the utmost faith that with a few personnel changes and adaptation to a no.9 rather than false 9 that we will be back to our glorious best in no time

It will be the 31 major trophies it has given him and the clubs he has managed probably.
You're smart comment just makes you look silly, it's clear to see we're playing different this season than any other season with more focus on ball retention with no risks..
