LMAO. Tell me again, Blue Moon, how Alvarez isn't being held to a different standard than others?!

he is single-handedly shitting this entire season because he is playing players out of position for no fucking reason. what the fuck is akanji doing in midfield? how many more matches do you need to watch to see how absolutely dogshit is alvarez in midfield? how many great performances does foden need to play in his actual position?

I don't get Alvarez at number 10 at all. I can only think it's to keep him happy so he doesn't put a transfer request in for a summer move.

Ultimately for me, it all comes down to the summer window which was a disaster.

Nunes, Kovacic and Doku were not adequate additions/replacements to take this City team on.

He doesn't trust Nunes and Kovacic and Doku is just not ready for this level yet.

Alvarez shouldn't have played today, but as we saw in the 2H, once the ball moved faster we were a much better team. A lot of individuals had a poor match including the setup by Pep.

Anyway, we still have momentum on our side and I am certain we will win the PL.

Alvarez midfield will never work. Considering he won’t put Grealish or Foden there because of the ‘pausa’ trait, he’s thrown Alvarez in there quick enough.

Took a while to sort today out as well, odd one.

Can’t for the life of me understand why he seems so wedded to playing how we did today - wide open, Rodri hopelessly exposed in the centre of midfield, team packed with high-risk, high-reward type players. Paradoxically, it makes us much less effective in an attacking sense, and leaves us so vulnerable defensively.
If we’d had that game at the back end of last season, we’d have had Stones, Rodri, Gundogan, Grealish and Bernardo and they’d have barely got a touch, let alone a sniff at goal.

Got to sort the defending (as a team).
The Rags, Arse and Dippers will all take the piss in the counter just like Chelsea did
