Please for the love of God stop with this fucking awful midfield. Just fucking stop it.
It’s as though we have lost patience as a team and we are going for broke from the off (with no reward and massive risk)Can’t for the life of me understand why he seems so wedded to playing how we did today - wide open, Rodri hopelessly exposed in the centre of midfield, team packed with high-risk, high-reward type players. Paradoxically, it makes us much less effective in an attacking sense, and leaves us so vulnerable defensively.
If we’d had that game at the back end of last season, we’d have had Stones, Rodri, Gundogan, Grealish and Bernardo and they’d have barely got a touch, let alone a sniff at goal.
Thinking the same. Yeah agree. You mean like Phil.Thinking the same. Rodri was so exposed.
When Akanji steps in the midfield out wing backs play more central role with zero support for Doku and Foden.
Alvarez started all matches except one in EPL. That is OK as KdB was injured. But now we need a proper midfielder to help Rodri.
They must both have been struggling. Surely. Our worst player tonight. He nullified what was best about Kevin, Phil, Julian, and Manuel with a weird formation and benched Stonesy and Bernie. Inexcusable.
