Unless, as we've found out, both told him they were on empty, he's not a fool or a criminalControlled the game but Madrid allowed us to do that. They came to defend. No different to how 99% of other teams come here so that’s not particularly on Pep.
But taking Haaland and Kev off when the game was so obviously crawling to pens is criminal.
Got the tactics alright but will have to shoulder some of the responsibility. Too many players are running on empty because the small squad philosophy needs a rethink and because he's been badly, badly let down by those in charge of recruitment.
Somewhere along the line mistakes have been made, and if he’s involved in that, then yes he is culpable to a degree.I am sure he has the final word, so he should take responsibility for his choices.
