Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

He seems to want to wait until we’re 3 or 4 up before making subs. You could see that game was drifting even at 2-0, needs to be a bit more positive.

First time in his career he's had to majorly rebuild his team and the ins(so far) are not fit to lace the outs boots. Couple that with some shite injuries and were swimming up stream.

But then he's not helping the situation with seemingly picking the team sheet out of a hat rather going with anything that resembles previous successes. If he has to insist on a new approach then have some fucking consistency.
Doesn't trust a single midfielder that isn't 6"3 and Spanish. It's a big reason why cleansheets have become mythical creatures.
But then on the other hand he's treating players like Alvarez, who started the season well but probably hasn't had a truly good performance since coming off the bench vs Leipzig at the start of October, like an immortal.

I know he doesnt fit the football Pep wants to play but when trying to see out a win, which he has been doing by subbing Ake on for Gvardiol for example, then that 50mil cdm probably worth 10mins here and there. Instead today makes no subs again then will act surprised/annoyed when injuries and fatigue kick in. Game management been awful recently

But all said and done, I look forward to see how he pieces it all together to get us firing again. Something will click, always does.

As always, his (only glaring) weakness are his subs. Needs to make them quicker and be more decisive with them when things are drifting. Performance was so poor today that 2-0 wasn’t a comfortable score line with those players out there. Whole stadium could feel it, how couldn’t he?

Or Lillo?

Lillo is a 'yes' man.

He doesn't make any subs because he doesn't trust his squad.

Poor transfer window planning, poor player recruitment, players still in Ibiza mode and key injuries are compiling a huge headache for Pep.

In public he will back his team, but I think behind closed doors looking at what he has now compared to what he did have this time last year for example - both in regards to squad mentality and quality - I think he knows he is going to have a hard time winning anything this season.

I think if we drop points against Everton or lose this CWC, we are going to see another angry Pep presser moment.

Why are both the fullbacks so far up the pitch all game?? If we had proper attacking fullbacks I could understand but Walker is not, and Gvardiol is a CB.
Said the same. If youre doing this with Gomez and Cancelo thats ine thing, walker and Gvardiol? Madness. Worrying thing is he is continuing with walker there Despite results and performances being wank
