Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

I think Pep might have underestimated the league this season, especially after we started with 6 wins. Sooner or later we are likely to hit form, but this season is a bit like Pep's first season. After a brilliant start, things went south in November and December. Is this season like Pep's first season or more like 18/19 when we were trailing Liverpool by 10 pts before our game at Southampton? Back then we lost 3 PL games in 3 weeks (Chelsea away, Palace home and Leicester away).

Today was a good match. Tell me, why was a bad match today? Alvarez doesn't play, then who does (Doku, Haaland and KDB injured)? Walker doesn't play, but Stones cannot play very often.

I just gave you the stats. How the hell did we play poorly today?

Which player played in the wrong position? Honestly some of the arguments here lack so much intelligence and logical analysis. 90% is we win, we played good. We lost, we play bad and Pep is at fault.
Here's one, Akanji in Walker out...all day fucking long...

Can’t win the treble every season.

Theres a reason no one’s ever won 4 league titles in a row. Maybe this is our version of the rags 2001/02.

Gonna sound spoiled here and don’t mean to be, but I was so underwhelmed with our summer transfers I sensed it was the beginning of the end of the total dominance we have all witnessed in recent years, still time to be proven wrong and I so fucking hope I am

He will leave at the end of this season, I honestly think he will call it a day, his influence this season has made some down tools, and he thinks he hasn't got the reinforcements to change things, that has to be the only reason.

We or should I say him and his mates MUST buy in January, to get a top 4 finish at least
This suggestion seems to come up here everytime we go on a bad run.

Seems a bit different mate this time, I’m not one to have said this before, as I said it back in summer to myself but didn’t say it on here, Kovacic,Nunes and to a degree Doku although he’s done very well from what we’ve seen, maybe it was because who had left, although Mahrez frustrated the life out of me at times, and the missing of Gundogan has been harder to absorb than what I imagined, but underwhelming signings are making it harder for me now I’ll be honest

That's what it is, IMO too.

Last season, there was the midseason World Cup, and we played 2 finals in the latter half of the season. Alot were already questioning then the physical toll the midseason WC will inflict.

Not to forget the mental strength our boys had to muster to have won 3-in-a-row, and finished with a treble at that.

If he goes in the summer then so be it but he will fulfil his contract with us next season and then walk away which tbh is good for both parties . As for a replacement I’d love big ange from spurs here .
