Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Angry Pep picked the most cowardly team possible for a derby. Fair enough he doesn’t have options in some positions like number 9 but this is pathetic
 
Embarrassing. Michael Carrick has just done him tactically.

He’s so fucking rigid with his tactics, no flexibility whatsoever and it shows.

Manager after manager have done him this season. And poor managers at that. Carrick today. The Chelsea academy manager a few weeks ago. Ridiculous.

I’ll get shit for this but there’s a valid argument that it’s time to go but I don’t think that’ll happen. Rightly or wrongly.
 
Match isn’t done yet but surely questions needs to be asked now? A whole new team was bought but for 2nd year in a row our title challenge is over just after Christmas.

At the start of the year we saw some changes of breaking at pace, less holding onto the ball etc. but now where back to the turgid slow play of last season

Something gotta change.

Excuses about injuries aren’t good enough
 
Never takes these fixtures as seriously as he should. His record is bang average for City against these. I maintain we should refresh.
 
I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt with the injuries, but I can’t excuse the casual approach to these derby games. The attitude comes from the top down and it shows with the lineups and the effort we see from the players.

Starting ake at lb and Rico at rb is an utter calamity. No one in their right mind should do that.

No Nunes forced Lewis and I could see him wanting to give Ake minutes to shake the rust off. Didn’t help everyone in front of the defense besides Bernardo lost their heads after the first 2 minutes.

What fucking injuries, two fit left backs on the bench and he starts a fucking CB there and sticks two kids at centre half and plays fucking teachers pet at RB. No excuses for this shite, end of.

Lewis didn't even start at right back - supposedly favoured position. Inverted centre mid who offered nothing.

No time to be putting squad players / project players in a match like this.
