X you say? Well I'll take that as the bollocks it is if it's on that shitstain of an app.Rumours all over X that city are locked in crucial talks with Pep. Ruchard Keys the knobhead saying don't be surprised to see him gone this week and Maresca coming in. I hate football.
What would hairy hands know about inner city dealings. IdiotRumours all over X that city are locked in crucial talks with Pep. Ruchard Keys the knobhead saying don't be surprised to see him gone this week and Maresca coming in. I hate football.
semenyo, guehi etc will not have signed this month if Pep was on his way
Football hasn’t passed Pep, just like it never passed Wenger. Fans are far too reactionary and often lack proper football analysis.
The reality is Pep didn’t get the balance right today. He trusted Foden again despite his recent form, and you also can’t ignore the defensive injuries. The side clearly lacked cohesion across both midfield and defence.
I’m frustrated because it feels like the league is gone now, but that doesn’t mean we can’t give an honest assessment of what went wrong in these games.
Just have to bounce back stronger and rebuild the winners mentality. Pep must be honest about certain players like Foden, Lewis and their limitations. One consolation, I think United can also stop Arsenal next week too
Pep needs to make the movie to transition football asap. most of the players signed in the rebuild would benefit from it. we need to be quicker, take more risk not by pushing up the defense but by hurry to bring th ball up and try to attck vs less organized defense line rather than compact low block able to completely close out Haaland and the wingers forcing us to pass between Ake, Dias, Khus our least creative players will spend significant amount on the ball in opp. half. we dont want that. we want Cherki, foden attack disorganized defences and pick them apart with a good run, pass combo. for that we need to press ike crazy, win ball back upfront and create panic. rather than our defenders having panic of the counters all game.
the rot already started after the treble win, we somehow won an additional title in 2024 but it was really the last breath of the old guard (thenn we decided not to strengthen in summer 24, major error), and play was lot worse than in treble season and signs showing and since then its just a mess tactically coupled with general style in PL changed with lot more focus on sprints, high energy, high tempo games even by lesser sides and more sides capable of punishing teams that try to control possession but dont work extremely hard off the ball like City.
Funny that all these daft rumours seem to follow after one really bad result and performance. I thought we played great in the second half against Newcastle - a tough place to go and win and our form in December was the best in the league.
Then I found myself going all conspiratorial for a brief moment - you know suddenly Pep has become even more aloof and sarcastic in pre and post match interviews. Team selections that leave most of us baffled. Erling looking like he should be playing for Bradford City not us, not dominating run of the mill centre backs. Certain players not being able to change tactics during a game - then I gave my head a wobble and looked at who it is that is spreading such nonsense - The hairy handed one hates everything about us.
Onto the frozen North for redemption on Tuesday...
I have felt for a ling time now that its time for a fresh start
We have spent around 400 million in the past 3 windows. The only player we did not sign was Wirtz; it was because he rejected us. The club needs an RB and a CM; an overhaul is not needed. Pep is not getting the best out of the players .He's given us the most unbelievable memories and experiences. Some of us older folk would have thought belonged in a fairytale.
But I think he has taken us to the pinnacle of his powers.
Squad needs a total overhaul and we don't pay top dollar on transfer fees anymore. We seem to take punts on players that may be good.
The way football finances have gone now we would need upwards of half a billion to be cleaning up again.
The ride is over and I don't think we will ever get back to where we were, without that huge investment.
Jesus, spoilt much? haha
The squad doesn’t need a total overhaul, a bit of an over reaction from a shit day. He's given us the most unbelievable memories and experiences. Some of us older folk would have thought belonged in a fairytale.
