It was very silly to but it simply. Tries to force something that doesn’t need to be forced.

Maybe city should ask you to manage the team.
You clearly know more than the most successfull manager ever
 
End of the day I’ve questioned pep this season but we have been clamouring to see Nico g fof weeks and we saw him tonight . We have won the game and that’s the main thing .
 
There's a reason Nico G didn't start last night. It probably has something to do with the fact when he got on the pitch Erling, Cherki, and Pep spent the rest of the game having to scream at him to play simple forward passes between the lines.

Absolutely mad that on the night we go top you've got people chatting shit about Pep. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic.
 
I actually can't believe he sat next to Marmoush and seemed to have a moan to Ake about the players not finishing the chances lol

If only he'd learned his lessons. We may even have been top of the league, by now.
 
Watching his press conference before the Southampton game. He is very good at including everybody, a bit of a socialist I think (I am too). Impressed at how he speaks freely when it comes to difficult questions. I understand very well how keeping him at the job has been a priority for the hierarchy. We have a situation where the manager is above the players as of now (maybe Haaland is close in stature, but he is humble enough to adjust). Pep cares about the club and tries to make the best decisions, but he is not invulnerable.

I think he deserves support more than anything. Getting an inexperienced squad to be a title contender in such a short amount of time is nothing short of impressive.

I have not enjoyed some of the football (I do like the winning!) between March 2024 and January 2026. He's responsible for that (the winning as well!) although, looking back maybe it was Rodri being injured and Kev stopped being Kev that ruined almost everything.

However, he's fucking worked it out, finally given the keys to Cherki - and got O'Reilly as a POTY candidate etc. And the thought of Marsesca in for him makes me feel queasy. We've always looked coached, obviously - because he is a proper coach. Chelsea never looked coached under Maresca, regardless of their results - so no. No thanks.

Good article - misses that injuries forced a new centre back pairing and throws in the "ability to spend big" - forgetting the ability to spend wisely.

Does make good final point that "His ability to continually reinvent his squads in response to the players he has available and the tactical trends of the league, however, remains second to none."
 
A testament to Pep's work is that he had to replace a highly successful CB pair in Dias and Gvardiol (2.33 ppg this season, 88 pts over 38 games, mostly without Rodri!) with another CB pair in Khusa and Guehi.

To change your main CBs due to injuries in the middle of the season and compete for the title is simply incredible. Sky is the limit next season (if Pep stays).

4th consecutive FA cup final. 8th consecutive semi final. Recently won the Carabao, again. Still with a great chance of winning the league, again. Clean sweep of domestic trophies still possible. The guy is relentless. And to think some want him out.
