I understand the initial few seconds. You see a famous person or someone you really admire, you want to talk to them and maybe get a picture. We all get nervous around celebs and sometimes something odd might slip out.

But if you shout their name and they keep walking away from you (or cycling in Pep's case), just let it go ffs. Don't then chase after them, they're just going to think you're a psycho who's out to kill them.

Don't think it's exclusively a social media thing because celebs have been getting chased down the street ever since pop culture began, but it's definitely gotten worse because of it.

It's not the law you know. I never cycle with a helmet. As long as you stay away and aware of vehicles its fine. Plus there are new laws regarding giving cyclists more space. Potholes are my biggest issue. For Pep its avoiding wally's like last night.
