Pep Guardiola was chased on his bike by a crazy fan through Manchester city centre tonight

It was Andy Warhol who said everyone will be famous for 15 minutes and he was way ahead of his time. Everybody has a phone that can video on them these days so when they chance on a celebrity it is an opportunity too good to miss for many. He has probably made money out of it too as it appears on the mail website. There are people who call themselves auditors who go around filming businesses, police stations and prisons etcetera. They often get confrontation for doing so and that gets it more views on their YouTube channel and makes them more money. I see the laws being changed soon to combat this growing trend.

When I was 13, this guy show me "you shouldn't bother people".

I was in Camp Nou parking, I asked him for an autograph, and he ran me over stepping on my foot with the wheel of his car.

Since that day when I see someone famous, I walk away.

Thread full of old men displaying unconscious bias

Feel like this needs expanding on.

I'm 31 so definitely qualify as an old man in some circles but I'm not sure what unconscious bias people are showing by saying this guy was acting like a twat in just about every sense.

Maybe I've missed the posts you're talking about but surely you're not defending the guy?

Yeah, not to take the thread off topic too much as he was a just an example, but i think he genuinely get's off on being a grumpy twat. But that's his personality i guess. I still think everyone deserves to be able to live their life outside of work (an inside of work to an extent) how they choose, without some **** thinking they have a divine right to a pic or signature.

Definitely everyone deserves their privacy I just thought I'd use the example of him not being bothered by a fan too, in all fairness he could've been having a stressful day it would've been towards the end of his rag stay I think the dog incident, people vent their emotions differently whether in a cold but quiet mood a loud rage or even just holding them in completely, people should never hold emotions in without venting afterwards in some productive way, it's a lot worse if they aren't finding a way to let their aggression out later or ways to calm themselves, if you're holding it in get a punching bag maybe go on a run or a dog walk like Keane, or even a chilled out bike ride in Pep's case here hopefully minus a dickhead space invader.

Pep being chased by that idiot could've sent him overboard dunno why people are saying he looks worried, he could've been thinking in that moment is he being aggressive towards me? That he'd like to deck him if so before then composing himself, it could honestly be his supposedly uneasy looking demeanor is coming from trying to size him up whether he needs to fight or de-escalate, I'm a calm guy but in the few times I've been ready for fights in my life I've been told I start to look uneasy and worried, adrenaline makes some people seem worried when in reality they're ready to attack incase there's a need to defend.

I don't understand people like this moron it gets more stupid the more I see it, I've never once asked for a pic or autograph as an adult in any encounters with player's or ex player's let alone chase after them or the manager, unless they seem chilled and relaxed in a suitable time and place then why pester them in their daily lives, just enjoy the bloody moment if ya get to meet a player/manager and maybe get chatting then politely ask, personally I believe you should just breathe and take it in I've never understood the fascination in taking 1 or 2 minute clips at a concert that sounds bad or taking pics, I've never understood those recording the parade or us winning the title in the stadium just soak the bloody moment in enjoy it and don't act like this guy a total cockwomble.

You’d be alright with me waiting until you were on your own on a dark quiet street and bellowing almost incomprehensible rude as fuck bullshit at you at the top of my voice then start chasing you?

You’d think I was a lunatic then either turn around and lamp me one or run away. There’s fucking zero chance that you’d turn around and say “oh hello old chap, since you were so polite I’ll stop and converse with you”.

Manners cost nothing and this **** displayed none!

Something that only occurred to me yesterday was that if, and that’s a VERY BIG if, Pep had lost his temper and turned and thumped the man because he was concerned that he might be going to attack him, can you imagine the uproar?

Luckily for us we have a calm, measured manager who would not resort to such a thing.

The headlines in another scenario don’t bear thinking about.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think there's much wrong, he's obviously can't believe his luck to see Pep out and about. He's a bit OT, but no harm was done. Pep will be used to it and will see the funny side. Pep didn't look scared, just bemused.

I mets David Silva in Spain and kinda lost my cool with excitement. There was a ton of questions I wanted to ask him, but I just stood there blank smiling like a demented fruitcake.

Everybody saw famous people walking in the street or in a shop or restaurant or whatever.

And is natural to feel inwardly "WTF!!?".

You feel it and people can feel it if they see David Silva or Guardiola or an famous actor or singer. But also most people, like you, know how to control their emotions and they just act discreetly.

Thanks mate.

However we do have a new generation on our hands, a generation that have to film everything and act like its their best day ever with false high pitch giddy voices. You can see it on YouTube with young folk screaming OMG when there only peeling a fookin apple. It's the way the world is now and its up to us all to just get used to it, including Pep also.

By the way, I was wearing a Silva 21 t-shirt at a water park in tenerife, it was David's good mate that introduced us.....he was stood right behind me and I never saw him. I nearly pissed myself.
