I read something at the weekend, think it was Daniel Taylor in the Guardian talking about Ferguson's successor and I think that's where it was mentioned that Ferguson would not recommend Mourinho as his replacement

Lauren blanc is next utd boss apparently.

No chance.

i'm not 100% sure obviously but it's come from a good source.

bobby charlton last week went even further. He said fergie didnt like him
And that hes not right for them. Id say that's the end of the possibility of Jose turning up there. Great news.

Hold on didnt slur and Mourinho go for dinner when we played madrid at home. The commentator for the game was banging on about out it and how they talk to each other all the time. That sounds like the opposite of hate
read the interview. 'he respects him but doesn't like him' or words to that effect. It was honestly enough to make me think he won't ever end up there.

I really hope you're right about that. Mourinho at United is my worst nightmare.

Why? Every club he's been to have declined quite a lot after he's left. By the time Mourinho went to a Bundesliga club in 2016 United may have won a couple of trophies but we'd have free reign at the top as United slip to fifth for half a decade.

I honestly wouldn't want Mourinho at my club, can't stand him.

He won't end up at Bayern

No - Mourinho and Bayern will never be a question. Van Gaal personality but not his humour and not his abilities to build up systems and youth. Mourinho I connect with star players and short time success.

Pep and Bayern could get a great story. Team first, system first, long time ideas. Pep has problems with star players - Messi and the Barcelona bunch have grown up together that is another story. The same at Bayern.

I reckon Mourinho will manage Psg next then a Russian side it's all about him he wants to be known for winning leagues and champs league in as many leagues as possible..

Teams managed
2007–2008 Barcelona B
2008–2012 Barcelona

Not exactly a baptism of fire in the management stakes for Peppy....he skipped coming through the ranks and went straight to the top.

Guardiola's record at Barca was phenomenal and his replacement was also promoted from the Barca B Team. He's doing perfectly well because they're now 6 points clear of Atletico Madrid and 11 points clear of Real Madrid. Barca do things their way from top to bottom. They're one of the very best.

Good.

I do see City getting Mourinho by default.

By that, I mean he has seemingly diminishing options.

I think Pep currently trumps him at all of City, United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

He's by no means a better manager than Jose but in terms of his character, is seen as a safer option.

Mourinho has leveraged us twice before to get what he wants, but to be fair, we did only lose out to Inter Milan and Real Madrid.

The fact is he wants England and unless Roman is forced to eat a lot of humble pie, and he could, if Pep snubs him, only City may be an attractive prospect.

There is a slight misconception that Begiristain and Soriano stopped Jose getting the job at Barca.

Jose nailed the interview and both have stated he was a shoe-in, until Pep presented, and they thought he was more tuned in to Barca.

Barca and City are two very different clubs and if Jose wants our job, and it's available, I believe they will go all out.

I think Mancini won't be going anywhere next season unless we finish out of top 3 so will Mouriniho hang around for 12 months on the off chance Mancini will get sacked? personally i think he'll end up at PSG

So if we dont win anything and have gone backwards in every competition you think Mancini will still be here

Yeah 2nd or 3rd and winning the charity cup is what the scum did last year so as a club I feel we will give him another year at least! don't put our owners in the same bracket as Chelsea's

If I did he would be sacked by now, lol!!
The difference with slur is that he has done it all and rebuilt 4 teams he is so unsackable if he was caught in a gang bang with all the board members wives he would keep his job. Im sure the owners would not consider the CS a successful season and may look at other aspects as well. When you are confrontational and winning you can get away with it

As I said last month, I still think Pep to Arsenal, Jose to Chelsea and Moyes to the rags seems logical...

I'd be happy if Brian Laws went to U****d but they need a far bigger name than Moyes to replace Taggart. Moyes to Celtic is more likely.

I am sure I read that they did interview Mourinho, but came away convinced he was not the right man for Barca, and Txixi convinced Laporta that Guardiola was the man to appoint.

I believe they thought him as being too arrogant for their liking.
