Vieira sounds like a nice prospect... organic, holistic, natural... insert other buzzwords.
My only concern/question is, will he really be better than Pellegrini or Mancini?
City seems to idolise the Barcelona way, since we have ex-Barca chiefs in charge who have seen their 'way' work, but to me we have still not had an A+ coach and I worry we could continue to underachieve without one.
So for me, even if Vieira being promoted is the 'holistic' thing to do, I'd have Pep here before him all day long because Pep is a proven winner and has managed two bigger clubs than City, so would be able to handle the job quite well (on paper).
Vieira could turn out as good as Pep... but is that possibility worth risking more years of potential underachievement IF the scenario emerges where we could have either Pep or Vieira?
(or make Vieira his assistant and everyone is happy)
