The media still don't like Pep being Manchester City manager
So you think they created this interview, which has been all over the place since it’s release, something no manager (as far as I can recall) has ever had - even though they don’t like him? Why would they do that?
In what way are they different with Poch? They seem to think Klopp is a class clown. ‘He’s not won anything yet’ is a common thing said. All I heard last season was how wonderful pep is at what he does, that the league has never seen anything like him. Cue documentary, cue this radio interview. When we talk about the media as a block then generalisations, as it is with any group, has holes in it, but as far as I can tell the media are not enamoured with him, in the way they were with Wenger and they are with Pochettino and Klopp.
And of course, he's manager of Manchester City.

They seem more than enamoured with him. Imagine if he was ignored and Klopp and Liverpool has that documentary or poch this radio gig? The story in here would be ‘why is pep ignored?’
Klopp gets a completely free pass,he can literally do no wrong, they will be dying for the dippers to beat us to the league, anyone that take sany notice of the media as a whole know itYou might be right, this is not an exact science, maybe I'm being precious I just don't feel the love.
Perfectly Put!!Isn’t that when the team needs the fans the most?
Are we fans that only cheer on the team when they are winning and “pleasing” us?
It shouldn’t matter the team we are playing against. And there is a big difference between being a fan who has watched the team (paid the money to the club to see the game in person) and being a fan who helps raise the team up and vocally support them throughout.
There are two Home CL games left in the group and if we win both of them, we are through, probably as #1 in the Group. There would be no better way to answer Pep’s pleas than to take the level of crowd support to a new level...and help PEP & THE PLAYERS realize just how much we support how hard they work for our benefit!
What is strange is that this is the first interview he has done with the BBC (other than game interviews). Why would that be? Do they all think he's a bit aloof, unapproachable? So you think they created this interview, which has been all over the place since it’s release, something no manager (as far as I can recall) has ever had - even though they don’t like him? The media still don't like Pep, they wanted the narrative to be that this is the Premier League, we'll cut you down to size! And they wanted the Peg/Pep show to be the running story and it wasn't. And Pep didn't suck media dick, he looks bored with them and doesn't court them, they portrayed the interview he had after that appalling Chelsea game in his first season as being scandalous behaviour! And much merriment was had when we came third that season.
Things have changed now but Pep hasn't, the media still don't particularly like him, but they have to accommodate him because he's so bloody good at what he does and I get the impression they're coming round to the fact that he might be a fascinating bloke and they should capitalise on it before he's gone, hence this rather bizarre 5 Live Special.
Pep strikes me as an intense bloke, here for the football and the freedom City give him and that's it, he's bright and clearly loving the fact that the fans chant his name but it always seems as if he's off somewhere else.
Pep is on a football journey and we are one stop on the road, he's having a good time and so are we, the real trick is to turn his time here in to a lasting legacy.
Well, when Pep does decide to leave I think we won't be getting a Frank Clarke or Alan Ball clone.
Isn’t that date nearly upon us?100% agreed, there is no chance City will implode when Pep leaves. Txiki and City will start looking at options for Pep's replacement 18 months before his contract expires imo. The club is in very safe hands and we will continue to be successful for a number of years.
