Pep, Sergio and his representatives meet for late night talks

Anyone who can't see that Pep is just deflecting the issue with this answer in the press conference is severely lacking in cognition. He's not going to say something to further fuel the suspicions that Aguero is off in the summer, so thought he'd try to calmly move onto the next question with a light-hearted comment. I've thought Pep may sell him for a good few months and this meeting doesn't put my mind at ease! But with Aguero or without him, Pep will get us firing on all cylinders in time.
So because Pep said that they didn't talk about his contract then they were obviously talking about the contract? There's a comedy routine in there somewhere.

No, I don't believe at all they were talking about extending his contract. I don't know what they were talking about - only 3 people do - but I do believe it's clear that the comment Pep made that Aguero has so much money so he invited his coach for dinner, was obviously not to be taken seriously and was a way for him to swiftly move on and not talk too much about Aguero. For what reason? I guess we'll find out in the summer.

If Pep gets rid of our best goal scorer and club legend in prime then he is complete moron. There is no one in world who can replace Aguero bar Messi that would like to come here, and would get better numbers. Isnt replacing great keeper with midget buffoon enough? Does Pep wanna complete sabotage our club from the inside? Also not like his style is working, we are worse than we have ever been in last 5 or so years

The system doesn't play to his strength, having to drop deep and defend means he is not where he needs to be,he is better running off the defender,i don't think he likes it and lashing out seems to be frustration

Fair point , imagine if Carlos Tevez was in this system it would have suited him perfectly a real warrior all over the pitch , no doubt Kun is brilliant in the eighteen yard box maybe playing the lone striker role has taken it toll , would be interesting to see Jesus playing alongside him and helping with the workload 3-5-2 with two mobile defensive midfielders could work and get the best out of the best striker in the Premiership , but he certainly doesnt look to be enjoying his game at the moment

When should we sell him then?

Kind of like getting rid of Ronaldinho and sending Barca down the toilet....

His numbers are good, but when I watch videos of Aguero in his early years as a City player, it's just depressing. He's noticeably sharper, fitter, faster, deadlier. To put it bluntly, he was a better player and more enjoyable to watch. He may be at an age that SHOULD be his prime, but he's not really playing like he is. He's lost pace and seemingly a bit of interest too. It wouldn't be mental to sell him. It would split opinion, of course it would, but it's not a ridiculous thing to do. Players come and players go.

The system doesn't mean he has to drop deep, just take part in the game outside the 18 yard box. It's such bullshit to blame the system, every great striker in the world helps their team do more than just score. Suarez, Benzema, Griezmann, Lewandowski, even the fucking Nose - they all contribute to general play. What Guardiola is asking isn't unusual, it shouldn't take a year to get used to.
