Pep to leave at the end of the season

I have to say theres a little bit of despair kicking in, for the last 10 years Pep and city have been a constant in my life, despite whatever was happening in my life I could find sanctity and solace in my football team - they were the certain that they'd brighten my year regardless of MH, family issues, work issues, pretty much everything life throws at you - but with Pep and City I knew they'd brighten my day, having been a city fan since 84 all I'd seen is shite to be honest. Growing up in Manchester during the 80s and 90s was tough as a city fan and Pep gave me the feeling of respect id never known before as a football fan, they were almost a certain to bring me days of elation and celebration and now I find myself a little in the doldrums, I doubt ill ever live this again and a little Catalan genius gave me everything back in spades. I hope what he created is respected and continued because without City I honestly cant see the good times happening at weekend when I really needed a pick me up. Khaldoon, please make the right appointment to give me the same feelings again. To Pep, we and I love you and will always love you for what youve given us and its been my absolute pleasure to watch your teams. Youre the GOAT, the best there ever will be and I dont think you'll ever be replaced fully in my lifetime. Thank you, and its been our pleasure to follow you.
That’s a great post………..Almost every City fan who lived through the 80/90s will feel the same as you do, we don’t want those days back because the dream came true with Pep and letting go of that experience of winning every week is going to be tough.

We will support the team and each other I hope we do it together let’s see what the new manager can do.

Watching on the app, great to hear from Gundo, Eddie, Dinho, with cheeky cameos from Sergio, David.... Lovely comments from Vinnie too. I was very impressed with Joe Hart, so dignified in the way he reacted to being dropped by Pep but utterly respected his reasoning and didn't bear grudges.

I'll miss Bernie, from being amazing in a quality Monaco side that knocked us out of the CL, literally covered every outfield position in his 9 glorious years, pinnacle that game v Madrid. Stones got a great send-off at his peak utterly sublime, just ruined by injury.

Pep, what a bloke, you'll be in severe danger of getting hugs off random middle aged men for the rest of your days! Club conducted itself with quality as befitted the occasion. Apart from the football, which was a little iffy!!

There'll always be a corner of East Manchester that beats with a Catalan heart.

Back home now and it all feels a bit odd, flat I think.

It doesn't seem right that Pep has gone and won't be in the dugout next season. 10 years is a long time to spend with someone in football, to invest all those emotions, to watch all those games, to win all those trophies, to cheer for all those goals. It's been an amazing 10 years, in-cred-ible even.

Cheers Pep, put your feet up for a bit and enjoy a glass of wine in the sun. Thanks for everything you have given us. I rarely drink but I think tonight I need something.
Same here am watching the video of Pep and the players at the end and seems surreal they and Pep are gone.

Am like you and all fans am super sad for this amazing era to end and all we can be is extremely grateful for Pep and his backroom staff and players for giving us as City fans the greatest moments of our life supporting this club.

I was speaking to my Dad before about how long he thought Pep would be here for and we agreed that 5 years was max but to get 10 is more than we could ask for

There will be massive shoes for however is in charge next year but we will all support him to the hill no question about it.

The king is dead long live the king

My son and nephew are graduating high school and off to bigger things and now my football family is losing 3 amazing contributors to an incredible last 10
Years. Seems like a great end and a new beginning. Hope Maresca can carry the torch and be as good as Pep believes he is. If so, let’s keep this train rolling!!!!

Hats off to all the Blues in the stadium, brilliant to a man. Did us proud, and the 10 more years song was epic.

Great overall effort from the Club, but why they think they have to use the insufferable PA to cue up the fans winds me up. The fans started up Bernardos song as he walked to the guard of honour, the PA came in slightly later, fucking up the fans and took over. Same with Johnny Boulders and Pep.

On the lap of honour the fans were singing player specific songs, only to be drowned out by PA music that had no relevance to the occasion.

LEAVE IT TO THE FANS.

Up the fucking Blues.

I feel absolutely flat, as though someone has died. I'm gutted only city fans would understand the way I feel. Couldn't sing at the end, every time I tried tears ran down my face. Soft 62 year old. Wish my dad and grandad were here with me. We've all lost Pep today, gutted, losing all the great players is hard, but Pep was the real special one. How many of us would love to hug him. CTID...

I think we will be okay moving on in the immediate future. to me with everything he has said in the last few days, it doesn't sound like he is done with club management, if or when he returns to club management, that is when it will be the hardest to take.

Almost like splitting up with somebody you still love and you know you won't get better, it's easier to stomach until they start seeing somebody else. Knowing Pep guardiola is managing a football club again and it isn't us will be heartbreaking, unless it is us...

I honestly feel this is true. If we fall apart under Maresca I feel he'd come back to steady the ship, we're HIS club and I doubt he'd like to see that happen to us.
