Pep to leave at the end of the season

That Live Forever acoustic version on Pep's farewell video was chefs kiss

Perfectly fits and goddman the City production team making an amazing video

Watched it at the end of the youtube and I started crying again
As soon as that song started I was done for. I started to think of all the memories he’s gave me. Title wins, Wembley trips, European trips, Istanbul and CWC in the US last summer. He’s also stood up for us with the 115 shit in front of the media plenty of times. It just became too much to me and I’m glad others were crying before I started. I couldn’t even sing Guardiola for the final time.

I’m hardly an England fan these days, but I hope he takes over Tuchel in a couple of years. Imagine if our greatest ever manager goes on to win the World Cup with a nation that hasn’t done it since the 60’s?

Well, its finally happened and I feel a bit gutted, had been in a sort of childish denial till today.

To put it simply........Pep Guardiola is a fcking legend, lets be honest he has driven us forwards more than any other person on earth could have achieved, and because of him(and our owners) we have been able to take for granted things that were just a fantasy not so long ago.

For that, Pep gets all the best wishes from me in whatever he does, especially connected to City, and he was right to talk about emotions, because thats what fans want to feel most, emotionally attached to a club.

Fifty eight years of consciously supporting City and what a rollercoaster its been, I have felt absolutely every emotion, every high and low that its possible to feel in football. From pearce to Pep just about sums up the whole ride.

Now we have a short break from it all, and time to look ahead, but already there is anticipation( Maresca ),hope, (more success), a little bit of dread(var/pigmol) and excitement for the next chapter, oh,and hopefully relief when we get 40 points. Got a feeling that the 115 is gonna be sorted favourably soon too.

Its still a great time to be a City fan.........though I cant remember a time when it wasnt to be honest, CTID.
Agree. Have had my head in the sand for a while now, complete denial. It’s been a huge and mind blowing trip from my first game in 85 to this, but now I’m on a downer. I know it isn’t rational and it is only football, but fucking hell, City isn’t a straightforward club to love.

I’m now thousands of miles and several hours in time away from Manchester. I wish I could’ve been there today to support the club and show my gratitude to Pep and the team.

Selfishly it would’ve been cathartic too, perhaps helped me say farewell and move on. It means I keep on logging on here, looking for something I can’t describe, and something I can’t get where I live - nobody in my age bracket supports City - infested with Arsenal and Rags. But I also know the future remains bright. A lot of those Rags and Arsenal adults have children who wear City tops, so I know we aren’t going away.

Thanks Pep. Thanks Bernie, John, Gundo, Eddie and all the players. And thanks to all the Blues who supported the team today and every game, home and away. Love you all.

Taking solace in many feeling the same on here. Really sad day saying bye to Pep.

Feels like nothing before really, gutted when we sold Flitcroft, SWP, when Goat retired. Then all the legends over last years since Zaba went and those after. Just feels like the very end of that story.

41 years old and crying after a manager leaves a unbelievably well paid and privileged job. Daft maybe. Just so many nice personal memories at games with my friends and family under his tenure. Trophies we probably took for granted. Forever grateful.

Excited for the new era under probably Maresca. Thanks Pep, up the Blues

A true genuine person has left us. How can we not feel heartbroken? I will for a long time. He looks so tired. Go away and have a rest. It will be hard all over again to see pep manage somewhere else but we had him for 10 season. I said before but he brought a credibility after the takeover we didn’t have, fought tooth and nail around 115. He brought a quiet humble fight and die attitude. Work hard at all costs. I know it’s sad but he has done his job and left us better off than we he found us.

Legacy is his, city will never forget pep. The standards have been set, history written. We will continue.

It will really piss off the cartel, if we continue winning trophies at the same rate as we have over the last decade, under Pep's successor.
THAT is exactly what I have been thinking. Are we going to get a David Moyes or a Bob Paisey? Liverpool handled the departure of Bill Shankley so much better than United handled the transition from Fergie. I don’t like the way the Liverpool man was pushed away from the club but I do like the way they recruited within and maintain dominance and yes our rivals will hate it!

Surely club football management is over for him now? He should have a year off and then think about international football. Spend more time with his family, he deserves it.

All the oppositional fans looking to slag him off at any moment will be falling over themselves for him to manage England.

Who knows? I don’t think anything could be ruled out. He did say if we got relegated, he would manage us. Come on 115. League 2 not a bad starting place -:)

I kept just hoping he was going to say, “fck it, I’ll finish out my contract” but I knew that was never going to happen.

I hate goodbyes. Tuesday can’t come fast enough.

Watching on the app, great to hear from Gundo, Eddie, Dinho, with cheeky cameos from Sergio, David.... Lovely comments from Vinnie too. I was very impressed with Joe Hart, so dignified in the way he reacted to being dropped by Pep but utterly respected his reasoning and didn't bear grudges.

I'll miss Bernie, from being amazing in a quality Monaco side that knocked us out of the CL, literally covered every outfield position in his 9 glorious years, pinnacle that game v Madrid. Stones got a great send-off at his peak utterly sublime, just ruined by injury.

Pep, what a bloke, you'll be in severe danger of getting hugs off random middle aged men for the rest of your days! Club conducted itself with quality as befitted the occasion. Apart from the football, which was a little iffy!!

There'll always be a corner of East Manchester that beats with a Catalan heart.
Beautifully put, mate.
