Pep to leave at the end of the season

Got to be very naive if you still don't believe it. The reason Pep has been saying he has one year left on his contract is because he doesn't want himself to be the distraction in a title race, would not be fair on the players. Its been leaked by someone from within by the looks of it and has spiralled.

Do you think Puma leaked it? They are with Pep and I’m sure they will do some sort of big video

This leaked months ago with plenty of people broadly in the know all hearing v similar stories. Writing's been on the wall for ages but many chose not to believe it without official confirmation (which is absolutely fine).

Personally i dont think there's a single source of the leak and i dont think the timing of it hitting the press is pre planned or malicious. Think we've done well to keep a lid on it for as long as we have but we've simply reached a point where we're a few days out from end of season and plans for his send off are fully in motion. With the event on Monday and a huge construction project about to be unveiled and named after him, we've reached a point where more and more external parties are being looped in and its impossible to hide what's going on.

I’d feel a lot better about him leaving (if it’s true) if I knew Vinny was replacing him.

We’ve got to believe he was asked and said it’s not the right time just yet. If we didn’t then that’s a concern. 3 year contract for Maresca, takes us to the end of Vinny’s contract. Although there was a rumour there is a release clause in there. Only bright light is this weekend will take away from Arsenal celebrating their trophy on and off the field(if they win it)!

The club hasn't announced it
Pep hasn't announced it
Enzo hasn't announced it

But a right wing rag says it's certain.

Bluemoon; "Farewell Pep :'( "
It IS coming though. We can and I will wait till it is official. But no denying it is happening now.

Some of the tangential things remain just as tangential, but the great man is away, juat a matter of how and when it is announced now.

Still have two games to win either way.

Really the end of an Era now with Pep and Klopp both gone. Really messed up it all got announced through the media and not him personally.

He has one year left on his contract; of course he's going to be leaving us at some point in the future, that's obvious.

City play Bournemouth tonight, a game which, if we drop points, Arsenal become champions. I wonder how the press can disrupt the harmony at the club... oh look, it's working!

Yeah, the "two year contract" thing always felt like a bit of a bluff to get through one last year. It's clear that more and more people in the club are getting the details, but it feels like the journalists have got this right (Maresca in, what, January?) and all the people on here talking about conspiracies have got it wrong.

Maresca is entering this club under the most perfect conditions right now. He has enough of the treble winners and older experience left in the squad with Haaland, Dias, Foden, Rodri blended with a load of newer faces. There are enough newer guys that he can make the team his own and not have it feel like he's just got a Pep team. And he'll get Elliot Anderson who can be his Bernardo.

Pep has also instilled the winners mentality into the newer guys with two trophies this season (hopefully three by the end).

This club is just so incredibly well run. All the best Pep you legend.

Why would Puma leak it though?
Doesn’t matter who leaked it, it was always coming out in the next couple of days, in an ideal world I’d guess City would have preferred it tomorrow after the game tonight. There’s no way on earth it wasn’t getting confirmed before Sunday so we could all give him the farewell he deserves at the ground.

City record a tribute at the stadium to Bernardo Silva and John Stones which gets discovered and some media groups mistakenly believe this is evident of a Pep Leaving Tribute setup by the club, with many rival outlets all claiming the same thing that this was leaked by Puma accidentally.

The club denies the rumour, confirming it was for Silva and Stones, Pep himself denies the rumour yet rival rag media outlets continue to run with the non-story on the eve of City facing Bournemouth to take focus off the job at hand and now here we are.

Might be a Stockport fan, but he fancies the bin dippers. Also, let's not forget this is the same Oliver Holt who wrote this back in march: Federico Valverde rips apart Pep Guardiola's team of impostors with magnificent hat-trick for Real Madrid in 3-0 win - Man City's task is now almost impossible, writes OLIVER HOLT

There is no way on earth he didn't think this through. As soon as he posted, all the red media picked it up. When? Arsenal was playing at home so the news was a small morale buzz and us playing the next day. Even if the players knew, today will be a buzz around this, a constant sound around the players. Questions, whattsap messages and so on.
Holt is a total bastard, I hate the man. I’m not arguing that. I’m arguing on this occasion he got the news first and it was a race against time to beat his competition. The Mail will be very happy with him today and it’s his job.

He’s a tosser though, no doubt.
