Pep to leave at the end of the season

Do you honestly think that they didn't know ?
I get that he wouldn’t want to derail a title charge by saying he’s off at the end of the season, but I can only think that after tonight, it’s either he’s so fucked off with the press that he’s not confirmed it, or he’s genuinely not told the club yet.

TKhaldoon and Sheikh Mansour will want answers on how a couple of media reporters broke the news yesterday that Pep is leaving. City owners have been very closed-door about this sort of thing; neither would like how this leaked if true about Pep leaving and somebody else got to know before them

I will say this is not Pep or City's style. The club and Pep will 100% know what is happening in the summer, it would have been about 6 months ago that talks happened. That's how football works, you don't just leave the club like this without plans for next season's team of players, coaches and manager already in place,

If Pep has changed his mind in the past couple of days and is leaving, then it's pretty poor of him to leave it so late
It sounds like something has changed if Pep is speaking Khaldoon and Sheikh Mansour in the next couple of days

The one thing that I hope doesn't happen is when Pep leaves, the in-house fighting happens ? The New manager has to be given the same control of all the football side of things, just like Pep had

The director of football and the board can not get in between the players and the new manager. The new manager has to pick and choose his players and coaches
I wouldn’t put it past the media to guess Pep is leaving and then break this news to upset the team before these final crucial two games.
I think he is staying but at every season ends he talks with the board, finds out if they are happy with two trophies and 2nd place

Ticket office has asked him not to confirm until the new junior SCs and north stand relocations are done

Expect an announcement on Friday

No way the leaders at the club don't know, so fucked off with the media, which is my position.

So apparently the reports are that Pep is furious about the leak and had to have an emergency meeting with the players the night before a huge game against Bournemouth. If that’s true it’s no wonder the players were a little bit off tonight and both physically and mentally drained.
Question is should Oliver Holt be held partially accountable for the result tonight? What if he had waited 24 hours before revealing the story would it have made any difference?
Having said all that I find it hard to believe that the players did not have a clue that he was leaving before the story broke.
It’s all such a mess!
On a sidenote, I can’t tell you how proud I am of the players and what they’ve achieved this year. Even tonight when they were out on their feet they fought to the very end….they always do!

Feel so deflated, like I’ve just had a really unsatisfying shit. Crazy after winning two cups this season - which was beyond my wildest dreams not that long ago - but it’s about the way the news has dropped about Pep.

I’m still clinging on to a weird belief that he is going to grab the mic on Sunday on the pitch and do a Di Caprio wolf of Wall Street, ‘I’m not leaving…’

The media came out with the story, not the club, so not sure how it's bad PR for us.

I really think he's conflicted about what to do and maybe he's still thinking.

For what he's given the club, he has earn't the right to take his time and make the best decision for himself.
That's my reading of it,perhaps he did make the decision to go a while back but is having 2nd thoughts now.

Of course he's accountable, why would he wait, he fucking hates City, it was maximum disruption.

Not sure a win tonight was affected by it, they really wanted a win regardless of City, a win would have put liverpool under real pressure for CL, but the draw doesn't, it gives them europe next year but they need a miracle for CL.

Tickets not selling well for the end of season shindig...
Sold out by tomorrow..
Pep grabs the mike....

As a hetrosexual, I can put my hand on my heart and say that I love the man.... A more decent human - you would be hard to find, as a football manager - the best.

Even though he had the odd brain fart!

It's time for him to step down and have him go on a good note. Maybe he can remain at the club in a directorship role or something for the next manager.

The only thing affecting the squad was the crazy schedule imposed on us at the end of the season. Palace Weds, then 100 mins on the energy sapping Wembley turf and within 72 hours travelling to a well rested Bournemouth.

We simply ran out of steam.
We won 9 and drew 2 out of our last 11 games. The problem was that we have been trailing Arsenal almost all of the season because of a poor start. We only started to look like a title winning side after adding Semenyo and Guehi in January. Tiredness became a factor at the end but we were by then behind Arsenal.

It is if you are Man Utd. This season, he rebuilt the side and won 2 trophies.
